The clinic you are refering to in Chillicothe does not charge $1200.00 per month. The patient has the option to pay $1000.00 for the first three months, or pay $1200 over the three month period (usually a payment of $500 for the first month,$400 the second, and $300 the third month). If you need to go to the clinic longer than 3 mo. you can continue to and then your appt is $200/mo from then on. Think what you want about how much they charge, nut they run a legitimate program. They make sure you work a program, count (track) your meds, and really focus on helping you recover. They do not just take your money and pass out pills. If more doctors did similar things, it may not be as expensive, or as hard to find a program. Nor would suboxoen get such a bad rep. I get so sick of hearing people put it down as a program of recovery. People blame it on the doctors wanting to make money, however the govt (medical board, FDA) make it extremly hard to prescribe. The doctor has to have a special license (a regular MD cannot prescribe), plus they have to have so much continuing education all specializing in the treatment. Not only do the doctor visits cost alot, the medicine is really expensive as well if the patient does not have insurance!!! Maybe some day they will see that it truly is a god-send for opiate addicts, and try to make it more affordable!!!
Good luck to all of you!

Are you kidding me?? You need to look up information before you come down on other people. Just a plain old docotor cannot prescribe suboxone, it doesn't matter where they work or what they do, they have to have a special license to prescribe it, just like the previous person said. and just because a place prescribes suboxone, does not make it a "pill mill" although. I do agree that they are out there and there are a lot of them... I had a friend that went to the one in Chillicothe, and she was drug tested and pill counted every time she came in, I don't think there is any funny business at that place, I just think the doctor severely overcharges! but that is not a crime, if you don't want to pay that much, you go find a different doctor. I created this post to help myself and others find information about doctors that accept insurance or were decently priced, not to gripe and complain and point fingers. Stick with the topic please :)

This is a bunch of BS, it is a pill mill they are busting them right and left in Scioto county hope this one is next.
You only take cash and this huge amount for an office call. Get real.
What kind of special license that you can prescribe but a MD can't. I don't believe that for one minute either.
What is the doctor's name at this wonderful pill mill in chillicothe?
