I mean if you are fine not selling why do you have your home on the market? Of course it's a free country - thank Heavens for that!
To see how loud some people can bitch when homes are not given to them.

Where was the house at? Did the seller say why they were asking what they were asking?
We here at The Pristine Lake White community don't want the white trash to move out here. If we set our prices out of their range, they can't over take our little piece of Heaven. We're currently working on ridding the Lake of all the filthy trailer trash at the "Bait House" and the gypsy trailer trash at Rt. 552 and Rt. 220.

That would be a very good thing. Unfortunately I know some of those people, so I can completely understand your reasoning. Wouldn't want a bunch of drunks living around me either.

wow!!!! could we be any more snobby than thia idiot. first off your pristine lake is one of the dirtiest in ohio. have a bacteria test run sometime. so much leaching from private sewers, yeah even your 2 million dollar places, i wouldn't let my kids even swim in it let alone live by it. just because you got lucky in life and made some money does not give you the right to denegrate those less fortunate. if this is an indication of the people that live there, give me the trailer people. and no, i don't live in one.

We definitely don't want to live at lake white. There are nice areas but overall I'm not really attracted to small hillside yards because we have a small child.

Nobody is asking for a home to be given to them, but rather that sellers know the comparable prices and fair market value of their home. Unless you did upgrades, your home didn't increase in value in the past few years. Repairs are just apart of home ownership - they don't increase the value at all.

What kind of house and where do you want and how much are you willing to pay for it?

I'd rather not give specifics on a public forum but I will say for the area our price range should be enough to buy a decent home. :)

I'd suggest staying where you are at now, you seem happiest there. Bring the sick relative to your home.

I just run a pvc pipe and let the crap run right into the lake. The health department knows what I do and they don't care.

That water isn't even close to being ohios worst! Your sure shooting from the hip! I have a friend that ran test regularly as a school project, it tested as some of the cleanest water around due to the creek continously feeding the lake. Sure it gets stagnet when theres a drought, but what lake isnt affected in a drought. Plus theres no homes that are valued at 2 million, actually not even 1 million.

Well, maybe back in the 50's or 60's when you were in high school, it was a clean lake.

I think it's the red roof on the houses that make people feel important!

You might try there by Bill's Bait House. They have some pretty trailers there. If you get tired of the scenery, remove the blocks and hook on to it and bye bye.

You would think that you guys would be more concerned with the fact that right home prices are too high the working poor to attain in a county where there are no sustaining jobs besides the a plant. We're middle class but we don't have family to hand down money and down payments. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. So keep making your rude comments.

Anita, well the housing market is certainly wonky at the moment and some houses maybe go for cheap and other may sell for higher than what you would think in this market.

If the seller is inflexible than I am sure they have their reason just as you have your reasons for not wanting to pay their asking price. Thus is the headache of home buying and selling.

As with any transaction you have the ability to shop around some more and potentially find something better. Or wait the seller out to see if they become flexible on down the road.

Either way I dont believe someone selling their home and asking what they believe it to be worth is a case of the rich getting richer.
