Can anyone shed a little light on what the hell is wrong with the Pike County Prosecutor? For instance has anyone heard about some of the cases they have either screwed up, let time run out on, make simple mistakes on paper work etc. The latest I have heard about is the case on Wes Brown. OMG! We are not talking about a good boy here we are talking about a convicted Felon. Mr. Brown was convicted, sentenced and served time in prison for Illegal Assembly of Chemicals to Manufacture “Meth”. As some of you may have seen Mr. Brown was then arrested by the Waverly Police Department for the same thing in September of 2009 only to be released from jail and again arrested for the same thing by the Waverly Police Department within a week of the first arrest. Mr. Brown was then arrested by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office for a working “Meth Lab” again just shortly after being released from jail from his second arrest by Waverly.(And from my understanding in the process of making “Meth”.) Now here is where they lose me. Mr. Brown pled Guilty to four counts of Illegal Assembly of Chemicals to Manufacture “Meth” and his sentence was only PROBATION. Can anyone tell me WHAT THE HELL I’M MISSING HERE!

There will come a time when the Police and Sheriff say "What's the point of risking our lives arresting these guys and then they turn them back out again".

Well that really sad if thats what it comes too somthing needs to be done about him. And I see what your saying Food 4 Thought but honestly I don't think he is that smart. What I really think is, is that he will let these criminals plea out to anything just so it looks like a win on paper. Well it's not a win he is doing nothing but cheating the citizens of Pike County and putting their lives in more and more danger every day. Sad Sad he took an oath to uphold what was right, he is not a prosecutor working for the people of Pike County he works more like a ruthless defense lawyer working for the criminal. HE COULD NOT HAVE ANY CONCIOUS!

dont really think its the Prosecutor.he pled guilty it was the court that gave him probation. it is a screwed up system.they can go to counceling before trial and get time off their sentence or maybe not even go to jail.dont think prosecutor has much to do once a man pleads guilty.its up to the judge to send him were he belongs

Welcome to Pike County "Whens it gonna stop". Money talks. And the sad part is the more you keep looking and the longer you keep looking......the worse you're perception of our legal system in the county will become. And it doesn't start or stop at the prosecutors office either.....MONEY TALKS.

Evidently a lot of people don’t understand either, yes it could have some or very little to do with the Judge but the Prosecutor is the one that works out the “Plea Agreement” for these cases. So it comes down to the Prosecutor. I have heard time and time again that if you want to do something-illegal come to Pike County. The Prosecutor is scared to death to take something to trial and you’ll get no more than probation, The Star Program or some useless rehab where you can get rested up for your next big thing or as many drugs in there as you can out. And the idea of him being a snitch to get out of all of this is bull dookie, you haven’t seen anything any bigger come out lately that some one actually went to prison for have ya. Uhhhh mmmmmmm nope. Laziness, no backbone and leaving your nuts in your wife’s purse is no excuse for the man we pay to uphold the standards, law and safety of the Pike County Citizens. People need to stand up and do something about it. And we are not talking about just one incident, take a look around I seen one of the people that has been in the news paper time after time for thefts, burglaries, and many drug possessions just walking around free and clear. This is a man that is BREAKING INTO PEOPLE’S HOMES where they sleep and have children but did he get held in jail,“No”. It is not hard to look up public record on criminals "“HE WAS RELEASED ON AN O.R. BOND”. The funny thing is that he has committed other crimes while walking the streets free after being released from jail.

Dont sell yourself short. You are a lot worse than everyone else. The only reason you keep getting elected is because no one runs against you. We hope that will not be the case in this upcomiong election.

Resources across the board are entirely deficient. Our system is lacking education and the desire to change. Pike County is so resistant to change it is holding itself back from being the County it could be.

the sad part is, this is the same story for every friggin pothead and drughead int he county. none of them go to jail because they are all rolling over on each other and the friggin idiots that we have around here that we call "law enforcement" (i say that very lightly) just chase em all around like a dog chasing its own tail.

If you were born and raised in Ross county, why would you get your law degree and then come to Pike county and take the pros. job, that I know pays a hell of a lot less than a good attorney could make. Could be the people, that know him in Ross county, know he is a little slow.

Obviously you can't read, or maybe it's the fact that you can't afford to buy a newspaper to read because the only time I see when someone goes to jail is when they get arrested by the "law enfocement" as you put it. Maybe the "law enforcement" should be able to prosecute the potheads and drugheads beacuse that is the only way they will end up in jail for whatever crime they committed. If you can read go to the pike county court house and see how many cases get sent there from "law enforcement" compared to how many get pled out or dismissed by the prosecutor.

Ok genius, you tell me where you get your statistics from for this country having the highest incarceration rate. Second of all you must be one of the few that has been incarcerated in Pike County because you seem awfully pissed off. Third if it was your house getting broken into on your kid or grandkid getting sold all the pain pills that are floating around I am sure you would want the person doing that incarcerated. What it sounds like is that you are the type of person that wants to bitch about everyone who is picking on the poor little drugs addicts but when you get ripped off you are probably the fist one to call "law enforcement".
