Waverly police. Uses excessive force on a guy at a game at waverly last night and when an older guy in his 70's try's to go down to help stop it he fell and the cops didn't even help him up. They have no class at all. There suppose to serve and protect instead there dick heads and use the badge to there advantage. Officer Taylor was main 1 and its on video I guess

Maybe "the guy" should not have been doing something as to where the Police had to become involved.

Guess the guy shouldnt come to ball games while drinking and start cursing and swearing at refs and police. FYI There were another 800 people who were not thrown down and arrested by police. What do we learn from this? Guess you shouldn't drink and be an ass in public.

I have attended sporting events in Waverly for several years and so far have not experienced a
law enforcment officer confront me at all. I know many people who have had the same experience. However we do not give cause for them to do so. I expect that is why we are not carted out of the event and taken away. Shame on the police for doing their job. Shame Shame Shame

I too have attended sporting events, not only in Waverly, but in other Southern Ohio venues. I have seen people become obnoxious and disorderly and then even escalate it when an officer tells them to quit. Sometimes it's even the "important" people of the community who then think they're exempt from the laws and rules (Robertson fire lane parking ticket ff). People don't want to sit next to these jerks and shouldn't have to. As to the original poster, Screw.., his command of English leads me to believe he should spend more time studying for his GED then watch basketball. Perhaps he was the disorderly one. If not, he sure is here.

Guessing you got a good look at which officer it was as you were being arrested. I'm really sure a 70 year old man was coming down to help, dude probably wanted to hit you with his cane or tell the officer thank you, because he couldn't enjoy the game with an ignorant person right there by him.

Freedom of speech. Didn't know it was against the law to get loud and obnoxious at games. Seems to me a large majority of fans should be arrested then. Getting ejected from a game is not cause for police brutality. I guess there are quite a few Adena fans NOT happy. Maybe something will be done now that its happened to someone not from Waverly. YAY!!!!!

I grew up in Waverly and know firsthand what fine law enforcement officials we have in our village. They are a joke. I would refer to them as mall cops, but that would be giving them too much credit. I've been questioned and had my identification run twice in the past month for no reason. I have nothing to hide, so I don't mind but they were less than friendly about it. Know your rights fellow Americans, these clowns sure don't.

U left out the part that he was 19 & drunk n was being escorted out by administration from th school when the officer went over to help bc the kid was yelling n being obnoxious! FYI if u pull away from a cop while being escorted out of a game ur lucky u don't get tazed! Basketball games r family events also!kod shld not have been there drunk n screaming n cussing n make a scene when told to leave

Yep actually pulling away from a cop is just means to use tazor! Charges r the same as fleeing and eluding. Face it, people that go to high school games that r drunk and being obnoxious need kicked out! Dont act like white trash and you wont get treated like whit trash.

Maybe most of the waverly pep section needs to be ejected as well then. I have observed many of them drunk and obnoxious at a lot of the games. Let's tase them too!!!

This is great!
So allow me to get this straight. A 19 year old guy comes to a public event, becomes loud and obnoxious to the point that he gets told to leave by officials and while being escorted out becomes even more belligerent. A police officer gets involved (how dare the police officer get involved with a drunk in public) and the subject attempts to pull away from the officer multiple times and then the officer physically restrains him.
Now to my attention this officer is suspended awaiting an investigation.
Are you F**ckin kidding me. WOW!
Whose idea was this? Roeís? Souths? Kemptons?
Why arenít Larry Roe and Captain South suspended awaiting an investigation for the Laws and Ethical things that they both have broken during certain investigations.
Why is Mayor Kempton who completely agrees that Roe and South have done wrong not doing anything to them. Is he scared. Is he walking hand in hand with them. I just donít understand.

Taylor hang in their buddy, help will soon be here. But in the mean time how bout we all just let the police department know we are watching. If you did not know every report that is a closed case is a public record this meaning ANYONE can go in and request these reports and they have to be provided to you in a timely manor. You can find this information on the Internet under Public Records Request.

So I think that we should all go to the police department and request the cases that Officer Taylor has handled which will show all the drugs, thieves he takes off the streets. They are out to get him just like anyone else that does good around there.
