WellI think it's great, but he sure had his hands full - giving the people he hates on a reach around while stabbing them in the back and trying to catch throws! LOL...a show to see!!!

Boudin, Harding, and Ward should be more careful as they leave these bar rooms in an intoxicated state. I'd love to see Bay PD pull one of the old Waveland PD stings and wait for them to leave the bars and arrest them for DUI.

Too bad Bay PD isn't allowed to patrol the Yacht Club. Carpetbagger Harding, Councilman McDonald-Lamb-McDonald-Kane-Mc Donald, Councilman Kidd would all be in jail. What a perp walk that would be!

I'm a member at the Yacht Club and can tell you without a doubt that I've never seen Kidd at the club, not once. I've seen Harding there about 3 years ago but don't think he's a member now.

And yes Wendy is a member but I rarely see her there and have never seen her drunk as you have said.

Whoever you are, you have slandered several people completely without a shread of truth. The Yacht Club is far from what you depict it to be.

Many, many residents in the "annex area" would love to have Lonnie as our coucilman. He has done ALOT for us back here without fanfare. The problem is he won't run and come January, under redistricting,Ray Kidd will be our councilman.Joey moves over to the right and now represents Les and his neighborhood. That ought to be fun. So the "annex area" still struggles for services. We will find a candidate to run against Ray. Lets see if Les finds someone to run against Joey or Les and His friends will put up with Joey for 4 years. This will be funny!

Sounds to me like joey should be busy getting a license to do his business just like everybody else has to do. Its shameful that a city councilman cant operate within the law. a fine example he is - the pot callng the kettle black. Nothing funny about that.

Why the focus on what Les has to "put up with"? What about the people in ward 5 & 6??? These are people, including Lonnie, who didn't give a damn that the county kept them in squalor for decades!!! But NOW they complain that "Les" hasn't made this swampland -annexed by eddie farve and his council- a paradise by freeing them from flooding during high tide, making them some fine roads (that can't really ever happen because the roads WILL always flood 10 times a year), improving a water system that's still owned by someone other than BSL and so on. The anti-bay st. louis people on here must think no one knows the history of shoreline park - a land sitting at sea level where a strong wind WILL cause flooding, erosion of roads, etc. Maybe you should have put this much energy into confronting the BOS years ago, or AFTER Katrina when federal money was flying everywhere (except in shoreline...hummm!?!) Please, do tell us all exactly what the BOS EVER did for you??!!?? Did they ever give you a police department, a fire department, street lights??? Please, I'd love to hear what the county ever did in shoreline other than ignore it!!!! OR, is this just the same old "bash Les" tactic that joey, lonnie, sam, jeff and the gang keep on with? Keep whining and talking trash - it just proves how ignorant you and your followers are.

There was street lights before Katrina, there was sherriff dept. patroling, there was Ed D.,Dave Richardson and many others in Hancock Vol. Fire Dept for over 25 years servivg that area. Some people DID stand up and yelled to have all raods raised by FEMA after Katrina but to no avail. ALL we want and NOTHING more, is to have the TAX $$$$$$$ we pour in to the city be used as improvement projects even if it takes ten years or more. Ask Les to show you in project form plans for Wards 5 and 6. He did not to us, but maybe you have connections to his "talk".

Have you noticed your insurance bill go DOWN now that BSL is managing SLP? Yep it did go down. Many people in SLP have reduced their cost of ownership because of the lower insurance rates all because of an improved fire rating. Have you noticed the stop signs are now up in SLP? The county didn't ever replace the stop signs after Katrina even thought the feds paid for it. The fed's gave enough money to the County to pave SLP but the county took the money north the Kiln. Yet you want them back in charge of SLP? Get real. SLP suffered as the bastard step child under the county and will do so again if the county gets a chance. Please feel free to correct me on all this.
Get er done

You don't have to wait on an elected offical to get your roads paved. Start a petition to have every land owner with streets which are not payed asking for the City to pave their roads and pay for the improvements to their street via a tax on their property. This is how streets are paved. The paved streets in the Bay and Waveland were paided for by the property owner who received the service by a direct tax on their land.

The problem arises when you want a third party to pay for your paving. The federal and state government doesn't pay for local street paving. Other land owners with paved streets have already payed for their own land to receive paved streets by prior tax prorations. So if you want your street paved start a petition asking to pay for the service on a prorated basis based on the cost of the paving program assessed to the land owner who benefits from such a service. That is how everyone else has gotten their streets paved. Simple really.
Agreed

Yep, you're right. People yelled to no avail after Katrina and nothing was done. It was TWO years AFTER katrina when the bay took over - what did the BOS do for SLP for those 2 years? Nothing. My point exactly. And these "improvement projects" you talk about - are you trying to improve a swampland sitting at or below sea level with fine roads and amenities one would find in an area that CAN be "improved"??? This is like saying someone should prevent Grand Isle from flooding! Really??? I feel bad for SOME of the people who had no idea what they were getting into when they bought property in SLP. This is an area where NO homes should ever have been built and where some people think the city or the government should work miracles with their poor real estate choice.
Not Sure I agree

You say they made poor real estate choices... you have to realize they bought these lots with paved roads and what appeared to be dry lots (realtors didn't take them there when it was flooding).

While I agree this land should have never been developed, it was and the county supervisors are the ones who let it be developed.

Most people in SLP either can't live anywhere else or they don't want to. No matter why anyone lives there, it's just crazy to blame BSL for not "making improvements". I have to agree with those posting above - the county never did anything for this area, EVER. They could have after Katrina, but they didnt. So now people who live there want to complain NOW?? And they think that one of their friends could do a better job than ANY mayor to make this awful patch of real estate "better"??? That just tells me what type of people these complainers are. The kind that complain no matter what. If I had to bet I'd say that the people on this blog dont even LIVE in SLP.

Obviously none of you realize how many people DO live in SLP and how much $$ they pay to the city in taxes.....don't you think they deserve something for their money? And for all of you that think there are even street lights in SLP, you are WRONG (except where certain people live). Listen, if the city requires taxes to be paid, at just as high of a rate as folks in downtown are paying, don't you think the area should be maintained??? Come on people, you can follow the blacktop to certain peoples homes in Shoreline Park and everyone else needs a 4x4 to get home.....wake up
