Can someone suggest where I can recycle old blue jeans and such. These items of clothing are no good any more, ripped and torn and etc. I just feel guilty putting this stuff in the garbage. If I can recycle every litte peice of plastic and paper, there should be a place I can take old clothing. Any suggestions?

Like Mr Paul, I am still looking for a location to donate old clothing so that the materials can be recycled into something useful and not go into the land fill. So far everything I have found on the internet that looks like a good link is trying to sell me something, a total misdirection and very discouraging. Even Margaret's link above says "recycling" but it goes to a real estate website. That is totally bogus. The internet is great but sometimes it makes me scream, AAAGGGHHHH !!!! Can someone please give a legitimate resource for donating old clothing to be recycled?

Goodwill in Waukesha takes clothing that is ripped but not stained or wet. They recycle these items.

American Textile Recycling Services is the best place to recycle your clothing, shoes, old toys, ect. They provide blankets, jackets, and shoes to the homeless, furnish apartments and clothe women and children escaping domestic violence situations and in transition phases, ect. You can find them on facebook or google search, or try 866-900-9308. Its Nationsl.
