My heart goes out to the family of this young girl, my prayers are with all involved, our family also lost a teenage girl in a bad wreck just a little over a year ago so we know the pain that is involved, and the pain that is yet to come.

My heart goes out to all the familys in this past weeks accidents. But I must say I have noticed many many poor driving habits these past few years. If people would just put down everything and only consentrate on driving there would be cosiderably less accidents and deaths in those accidents. I see people staring at something going on beside them, looking for something in their car, putting on make-up, on their cell phones, meanwhile they are swerving all over the road!!! It will only be a matter of time before one of these people kill your loved ones! Think about it people! We all are carrying precious cargo, OUR LIVES!!!

I really feel bad for this family. As well as all the other families who have lost loved ones. Seems like all the news every reports anymore is death, scams and other junk. Maybe with this many accidents just within the past month...it's time to step up make sure we're following posted signs, warnings, speed limits and taking that extra second to stop and look to see if anyone is coming. The poor families.

I think part of this is a by-product of an obcession with DUI (which was the main factor in the wester Iowa accident last week)

While this focus was important and still is, I think it's lead to a mentality of 'DUI is the only real wrong thing in driving', rather than a comprehensive ballanced approach to safety. The state has been very behind the curve on the electronic device distractionm which has increased exponentially since 1996, combined with a brainwashing that people get at white collar jobs that 'you must always be multitasking'.

Frank, lessons do need to be learned. While we don't know the cause of this tragedy, too much texting and other distractions are happening. I don't think Jamie meant any disrespect, only a concern to avoid accidents in the future.

Please show some respect for the family. You have no idea who Sarah or Maria are. I can tell you that they are wonderful young ladies and would never do anything disrepectful or hurtful to anyone. I agree with Frank, now is not the time or the place for your preaching.
