Threats of rain have led to the cancellation of some Fourth of July events, including:

* The West Des Moines fireworks show at Raccoon River Park, originally scheduled for tonight, has been postponed until next Friday, July 9, at dusk.
* All Waukee Fourth of July activities, including the parade and fireworks, have been rescheduled for Monday. The parade will start at 2 p.m, followed by inflatables in Centennial Park, the band Standing Hampton and fireworks.
* Windsor Heights has canceled activities scheduled for Colby Park following the parade. The prayer service at 1 p.m. and parade at 3 p.m. will go on as scheduled today. City officials say they will work to reschedule the other events for later this year.
* Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines has canceled its dueling pianos concert and fireworks show planned for tonight. Organizers said Live at the Creek will be rescheduled for later this summer.
* The City of Grinnellís parade and fireworks have been postponed until Monday at 5 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., respectively.
* The fireworks have been postponed in Urbandale. They will now take place at 10 p.m. Monday, shot from Urbandale Middle School. All other Sunday July Fourth activities are still going on as planned.
* The Iowa Cubs game today has been postponed until Monday, now a part of a doubleheader. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m. Fireworks will follow the second game, at 7:05 p.m.
* Indianolaís fireworks show has also been canceled for tonight. It will be held at dusk at Pickard Park on Iowa Highway 92 east of the city Monday night.

The 80/35 Music Festival will go on rain or shine. Check out the schedule on our 80/35 Music Festival guide.

Amesí fireworks will go off as planned at 10 p.m., organizers said this afternoon. However, if itís raining or there is lightning, the show would be canceled. The Ames Jaycees, who organize the show, will make a decision at 9:45 tonight
