you were in the Bermuda Triangle of a whole lot of public officials whom lack the nads' to take any responsibility . . the Troopers are blaming the sheriff and the local dispatch crew, the Troopers dropped the ball and they are damn lucky nobody got killed, The Trooper in charge of that section of hiway simply did not do his job protecting the public, why he/she choose to be derelict in their duty may reflect on the troopers command structure or lack thereof..

It was an unexpected, unpredicted, ground blizzard.. there is NO cut and dry FIX to these things that happen unexpectedly. UNBELIEVABLE. Sometimes, things do not always go well in these situations. They are human. Lessons were learned. The results were that all are well, and complaining about it, isn't going to change anything. Do not travel in the winter without the proper survival needs and a full tank of gas. Why would anyone keep going "into" conditions that are impossible? Some of these people also put rescue personel in danger.

OH MY GOD. There you go, BIG JIM! People "just kept going into it because the road wasn't closed" That semi situation is just your wild imagination, getting the best of you. It didn't happen now did it. What if, what if? The terrain in that area causes many variations to the weather and conditions, in a blink of the eye. It is just like the white out fog conditions that happen in that area. People need to use discretion. Just because a road is open, does not mean that it should be travel on. Take responsibility for your own safety, and you will not have to blame anyone else. I have read numerous articals about how some of these people had little to no GEAR with them...and little gas in there cars. Also many comments from LE officials and search and rescue, that RISKED losing there own lives to rescue stranded motorists. WE ALL KNOW what kind of winter we are having. There is no excuse for not being prepared.
