I work at Wal-mart in Watseka. And like any other place its not perfect.Women are known to cut each others throat and their own given time.We are over worked and under paid for all that we do. But it's still a job.So all that complain about your fellow workers, just remember they complain about you too.

I know I sure am complained about, why? Because not only do I speak my mind through a computer screen, I speak it to them directly. While I'm out busting my ass for a company that could care less if I live to see tomorrow, they have enough time to stand around and bitch about ME, so who is the shitty worker?

The front of the store is where gossip runs wild. The top management needs a swift kick in the ass.But let's not forget the management like Jess,Jen,Sandy and Chaz that try to make a difference. It's hard to do when your hands are tied and you have no voice.I give these managers a thumbs up and nothing but praise.

As far as I'm concerned Chaz is the best manager that place has, and because of it he gets shit on the worst. Gary and Thom treat that man like a damn slave and that is not right at all, but just goes to show those that work hard get the least in return, same goes to us floor associates. In my opinion, as for the rest of the management, they are the first to give orders on what needs to be done and the last to actually get off their ass and help do it. Its sad when you never know what member of management is working because they are rarely seen on the floor! See folks, you think you got it bad as customers! Haha (jk).

Thank you. I hope you are right about Chaz, he is a good man, and the only member of management that actually makes an attempt to fix problems. That store is ran like a mad house, if only people knew.

Chaz is the ONLY member of management that I trust. The others lie through their teeth, and have been caight doing so. You have thousands of dollars of merchandise, like electronics and jewelry, that somehow has just vanished. Imagine that. Is anything ever done about it? They just pad the inventory and do false counts and stuff until the numbers match. Management doesn't care. It's the floor associates who take the loss, not management. They still get their bonuses and all we get is our hours cut and our benefits taken away, and they wonder why it seems like no one cares anymore. WHy should we? We never get a "job well done" or a "thank you", except from Chaz. The man is honest, hard-working and the best member of management to date.

Obviously with the number of posts left here that negatively pin several Walmart employees as less than considerate, unfriendly, not helpful and general disregard for the very shoppers that spend their hard earned money to make Walmart paychecks that someone should make sure that the corporate office is aware of these issues.

Unfortunately, with living in a small town, it is hard for some people to stand up and speak their minds. For those who don't have any qualms with identifying yourself... please send a copy of the link address above to their web mail!

From my understanding, Gary Miller is skating on very thin ice, as well as Thom Gerler. Knowing how these 2 men operate, don't be surprised when they take down the rest of our managment team with them when they go. Gary Miller has been demoted once already---from a co-manager of a super center to this division 1 store. It would serve him right to have his position taken away from him, and as corporate does that, they might as well take his sidekick Thom Gerler with him. They are in each others back pockets anyway. Neither one of these men have any respect for the associates of this store. Good riddance to the both of them.

Oh, and by the way......did you all hear that the reason Thom Gerler has been on overnights so long is that he was "redbooked" for ethics issues? That came from a manager from a store up north. So now he has to try to make amends for ALL his wrong-doings and his lies, so he's playing "big, Billy bad ass" to all of the associates in store #1548, trying to impress the upper management.

Mine is not hear-say, I have had the one be very rude to me and all I did was ask her for help, I stayed polite to her and even thanked her. I know several people that work there and they are the sweetest people and no matter what is going on in their lives they don't bring it into work with them. I make the same as what Wal-Mart people make and that is a poor excuse to give them for the reason they act the way they do. They better stop and think if their business goes else where to shop they will lose the store and then where will they be. Why are you cutting Watseka people down, I am not from Watseka but I find most Watsekan very nice. We have all had things happen in our lives that have hurt us, but that is not an excuse to treat people bad. Rude is Rude, Bad manners is Bad manners no excuse.
Hey there this is a Wal-mart employee and I have to let you know that Kankakee Wal-mart is just like us but if not Meaner. I hate to tell you this but look around we try to be nice but what are we suppose to do when some customers Treat us like Shit..... I am sorry but I think you all need to get a life if this is what you think is a Cool thing to do is bad mouth us wal-mart workers then Grow up and no I am not a Male I am a Female I will tell you that now. I am sorry but you know I am friends with all the workers here and my family love going to Watseka Wal-mart and have no problem with Watseka Wal-mart. So Please Get a life and stop thinking of rude things to say to Wal-mart Workers.....

I agree 110%. You may have a problem with people on the outside (I mean, hello, we all know how Watseka is), but you should never let that show when you are at work. I don't care if it's the girl from down the street that you don't like, to an ex boyfriend or husband, or simply someone your friend doesn't like. We all have to shop, and by feeling like you can't shop locally because of the drama and harassment that these few people cause and hurts community business.
Sandy is one of the wonderful people who work there. She's always pleasant. Bob, he is another one. Always there to help you out. That is what I miss by not shopping there on a regular basis. I, too, only go there if I absolutely HAVE to have something that I can't run up to the other stores in Kankakee for right away. It's sad when you see so many disatisfied people commenting here about the vagrant disrespect a few of the employees have towards their customers and the fact that they are continually able to get away with it. Doesn't management see this as well as the customers?
I am sorry but what about the Rude Customers Hmm I am sorry but I dont think you guys understand we treat customers like they are Treating us so get over it......

You can add me to the list of customers that are not satisfied with some of the employees at Walmart.
For the most part the people that work there are nice but I have had a run in with one of the mentioned employees and I reported her to management , hopefully she was talked to.
I am a firm believer that in what ever job you work at the customer is always right (even if they are wrong!!)It also should not matter what you are beinging paid the key is you are being PAID TO DO A JOB, and if you are that unhappy with that job then move on because you are replaceable and there is always someone else that can take your place.
There again I will say Customers Should be nicer then what they are to us workers..... I know Service Desk people that get Screamed at everyday from customers because we fallow the rules and will not give them what they want which is money back for items if you are not smart enough to save you receipt then u honestly should not get nothing.....

Tink did you not see that a lot of the latest posts are from employees. I know you and know that you are nice to everyone and maybe do not get to see or be targeted by certain things that go on in this store. As an employee it doesn't matter that the customer screams at you. You have every right to refuse to serve people who are like that. It is never okay to not give a crap just because others don't, and it's not about growing up. It's about getting some respect from people when they are given it in return. As for the people who feel the need to start drama, and yes, the names dropped are the ones who always start in and thrive on it, they need to go. These people are the some of the same ones who you think are "friends", even though they are more like "frienemies". I am not attacking you, just want you to see things for what they really are.

Yeah,'TINK', Heather...
The newer posts on here have been by employees, and issues regarding management. If you are that defensive, what is it that you are doing wrong? Have you been rude to customers? Do you know that you sometimes you continue on and on and ramble to us associates at the service desk while a customer is right there waiting just staring at you trying to helped...If you're so nice, why'd ya get so damn defensive?

i hear ya,when i'm in the store and i go to check out,i stay the hell away from heather, she never shuts up,then she has to look at every thing your buying, that sucks.she is right up there with the rude employees, and if the customers are so rude to her then call management and have them take care of it,you don't need to come down to there level.
