Now we have a right to help the less unfortunate... now it is those that abuse the system... sell thier link and use it for buying sodas at the gas station... Hell, I watched a lady leave quality that was standing in line infront of me, dressed with the most expensive close, she pulled out a link card which they denied... I thought it was funny... then as I left... she got into a bran new vehicle... I was thinking what the fucking hell... seriously... now I do not mind helping someone who is seriously in need but that bull with people like that is what makes not want to help... the system is messed up and seriously needs a adjustment...

Hey why is Illinois so broke.. Well we can buy some peanuts and chips with our Link card, get cash back. Then buy some booze, Lotto tickets and a hooker all on the Link tab. And then drive my brand new Mercedes to the dollar store to save money. Wake up assholes!!

Its none of your business what me and my family does with OUR money. I pay taxes too. I just don't make enuf to make ends meet. My kids are hungry and I do what I need to do to make sure they eat and my Harley payments aren't that late. I need to save my cash for important stuff. The State owes me my food.

if you have one because you need it and you actully use it correctly then thats fine but its the people who lie to get one then trade 80 bucks of food money for 20 bucks cash so they can go buy alcohol that are wrong. its sad because theres people who really need food and the people who are doing wrong with the cards are going to ruin it. i just wish people would stop abusing things. its not funny or cool if you need alcohol to make it through your day go get a job and work and make the money dont use a damn food card. i heard something about that cash help that also comes on a food card that people can go withdraw it from the machine and go and buy whatever they want. people lieing to get it saying their children have no diapers or clothes and then going and buying drugs with the money they get. it really makes me mad and sad.

I sure hope Lone Star Steak House will start taking the Link Card. Poor people should be allowed a nice night out at least once week. Everyone else gets nights out. Why should I be punished just because I don't work.

I TOTALLY agree with you in that people should not be fraudulent regarding the use of a link card, and that the system needs to be reviewed (SERIOUSLY reviewed) however based off the information from what you witnessed, you really don't know for sure what the circumstances were. Maybe she was making a purchase for someone else who was not able to do it themselves right at that time? If that's the case she was being a good samaritan...Seems to me that if it were THEIR link card, they would know what was available on it? The point is, you jumped to a conclusion from what you saw, without knowing all the facts. I'm all for busting out frauds, but lets not forget that things are not always what they seem. Don't be so quick to judge based off of appearences.:o)
