I used to fish nearly every weekend, but haven't since I moved into the area a few years ago. I would like to start again. What are the best areas in the county? I prefer lake and pond over river fishing any day.

In my travels around the area,I've discovered that the best fishin is usually found in bodies of water. Excpept bathtubs, those rarely have fish in them.

It seems to be mostly river fishing in this county, but there are some really nice lakes down in Ford county. Sorry about the previous post. Some people post on Topix for the simple joy of being a smartass. Simple pleasures for simple minds, as the saying goes.

Clement Pond behind Dralle's can be okay, as long as nobody is letting their kids chase the geese out there. That gets annoying fast.

Creek fishing around here is horrible from what I've found. All you get is snag after snag. Not even worth the time it takes to redo your line.

there is a good spot out by fiddlers bridge on the south side of the bridge that is known 2 produce decent size catfish any where from 5 up to 10 lbs and also there is a pond out by lakeview park was just recently stocked 4 a fishing tourny and there r plenty of catfish left that r decent size left in there .
