What's your opinion? Would you support a recycling center in Watseka that accepts plastic, glass, cardboard, newspaper, and mixed paper?

Yes, but what would be even better though, is curbside pick up. I would much rather figure out a way to make that happen instead. We had a drop off before and that seemed to not work very well. More people will recycle if it is convenient (curbside - single sort) that is a fact! Lets concentrate on getting curbside - single sort recycling pickup.

Isn't this the old white house in the VERY bumpy and pot hole-ridden alley (not a ROAD at all!)that also advertised free items for the community? Did NOT look safe or reputable.

It is located right next door to west side bar. I dropped off my recycling there today. Really good set-up. Congratulations to whoever opened this. It was really needed!

I just saw the fliers posted around town and I stopped by and checked it out. Very nice set up, really clean, and a very helpful gentleman was up their that I talked to. I think the former post may have been from another gentleman in town who is jealous that he has some competition now. Competition is good for every business.

I am the owner of Marks Recycling. I applude the efforts of the new recycling place. I hope he does well. It has been posted that I am jealous about him opening the bussines,I handle the indusrial side of recycling. I wish him well with his endeavor and I would hope the people of Watseka get behind him and support recycling.

I believe that "concerned citizen" is the OWNER of the pig pen he wants to say is a recycling place. I have been by there, and it is a filthy place....if you can even truly FIND it.

BEWARE!!

as a scout leader i also manage a recycling operation in watseka. we have collection points around town including the scout trailer at my home. anyone involved in recycling is doing a great service for our community and the enviroment. scouts use any procedes to help fund troop activities. the more people recycling the better but please rinse and sort your items, no one wants to handle food waste. i personaly support the new watseka center and thank every one involved
