Do any of you know about anything suspicious that goes on at the nursing home on E. Raymond in Watseka? I have a feeling that things just aren't right over there for those poor old people.

Hell the old people there get yelled at and abused all the time. After all it is not like they give a shit about them, they don't even have an administrator anymore. There are people smoking pot and other things while on shift and the charge nurses know about it and what gets done NOTHING!!!

I worked there and i never saw anyone getting high on the shift i was on. I think you are probly one who had gotten fierd and thats why you have to say bad things. I never saw anyone getting abused either. And on the hall I was on you bet if they were i would have opened my mouth. And if you work there or if you did then why have you not said something and just let it go on. Why are you just posting it here.

I still work there and Jeanie, you just need to stay out of it. After all you no longer work there and have no idea what goes on anymore. We have no DON we have no Administrator or anyone else that can sign of on legal papers. And as far as the abuse goes that is why state and the ombudsman are ther yet again. Investigating nursing neglect and abuse!!!

Well if you work there and know what goes on it is your duty to report it to the proper autorities or how would you like someone treating your family like that--i think this matter needs looked into and as far as drugs being done there that needs to be reported-you know you can do it without anyone knowing who you are---if i new for a fact what was going on to the elderly and other bullshit i sure a hell would report it and i wouldn't care if they new who i was---those people working there will be old one of these days -they better pray they don't have to be there- wht goes around come around-God Bless those old people that can't help their self--better yet tell one of their family members if they have any

Just because SOME of the nurses rather sit on there arses and smoke while like two nurse actually do their jobs for everyone. Even when
some nurses just can't even lift the residents
THEY STILL DO IT. As for the cracker jacker monkey's who love to gossip for a living.
SHUT THE FREAK UP, if you actually wanted
to do something bout it, you would already have done something. So shut up, do you job if you work there, respect your fellow nurses (don't talk crap while their back is turned), and to the ones who aren't the nurses there, listen to your freaking charge nurse. Take care of those people right and quit smoking your lil ciggy's like your in a freaking highschool bathroom like you did back in the day.
And a good day to you.

I dont smoke so this isnt stall talk. And you are right most of the nurses refuse to get off there asses. However we do a few good ones. As far as reporting the abuse, I do but there are ways to cover it up, just like anything else. An Alzheimer patient died about a year ago after being pushed by a CNA and hitting the floor. It was covered up by saying she fell. And yes that CNA still works there.

Schneider, In Well if you are so unhappy why are you still there. It seems you are part of the problem more than anything. You may run your mouth on here, but that means nothing. Quit, you'll be doing the residents a favor not being there. I can not beleive you would put yourself before them. They are what it is all about. NOT YOU. So you can either be part of the solution or continue to be part of the problem. Which I think you want to be part of the problem.

My Mom lost 20 lbs in three weeks and they left her sit in the wheel chair even though it was killing her back. She had to have back surgey and when she went to get it done she was in such poor shape she had to be in the hospital 5 days to recover from being in the nursing home. We have now moved her Gilman it is SO!!!!!!!!! much better.

A nursing home is a nursing home - most of them are the same, sad. But as far as Watseka Healthcare - it is B A D. I'm sorry if you work there and especially if you're one of the better ones, but I've heard Dr's (and yes, more than one) say it is not a good place. I can believe there might be abuse there. But as a casual visitor I've noticed LOTS of bad attitudes with staff. I've overheard uncaring comments and bad language. I would not want my loved one there.

My father was there several years ago and his clothing kept getting stolen....or, as they say "lost". We had to keep only one set of clothes for him and do his laundry ourselves. So, I had hesitations when another family member was recently there for several weeks for rehab. Within 2 days clothing was missing....and it was not set out for the laundry. Upon several inquiries & talk of reporting them, suddenly the clothing reappeared. CNA's would not respond to the patient's request for nurse to address medical concerns & family had to call nurse directly for patient. So, there were definitely concerns in their case. I would hope that this would be the exception rather than the rule, but per posts this may not be the case.

There are some very bad people at the facility. I work there. I know. People that work there come and go quite quickly because the nurses allow such horrible behavior by some of the cna's. Some are horrible, some are great, just like anywhere else. The problem is that there are some really bad people working there. Really bad. And the story of the woman falling and hitting her head is true. True.

I work on the day shift there and that is the worst of them all. Lisa u shouldnt talk about there being bad aides, u are one of them. Getting the residents to tell you how their husbands like their titties out in the dinning room is not appropriate. Then again alot of the A-hall cnas do that, so what one does they all do.

It's no wonder the patients there don't get the care they need with all gossiping and backstabbing. If the help can't get along how can they give the proper care.

And isn't this sad! Disturbing really, that there seems to have been a murderous coverup???

Watseka is one of the best nursing homes around, and as far as Pam Kissack, she is one of the best nurses that is their! No one likes someone when they have to be displined, so of course she is not liked, she is in a management position! Everyone has things that they should not be proud about! Look in your own mirror!

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Cancer

Happy New Year, Cancer! Are you ready to put those resolutions into place? Not quite?! Crustaceans are never quite sure just how much they can get away with and where to draw the line. You have a flair for the dramatic and when you're the narrator, your exploits become deeds that would make a knight proud. Your fans know you're a hero, whatever history might prove. Audacity impresses most people but if you go to far you could cause offence.
