Trying to remember local bands of the era. Of course Ed Wool and Kiss were the hot rockers. Country bands were Fred Angel The Mustangs and George Walters. Old timers help me out here.

I'm from the 70s. But here goes. Ray John, The Todd Hobin Band, NY Flyer, 805, Fresh(with Jim Hood) and last but not least Ronnie Dio and the Prophets.

I remember fresh from the 70s, Jim hood was phenomenal, rick lagray on base, larry goodwin on lead, and tim fauville on drums, these guys could rock and had incredible talent. i was a rodie with them for a couple of years and their talent was remarkable. Jim is very much missed.

there was dave wisner , tgic gordy therrien lead john sovie bass ronny guitar and dave on the drums band phenix thomas eckerts guitar howard keech bass kurt davis on lead and ted streets bounty hunters band etc

Yes, they were the best rockin' band around. I saw them several times in the Massena area. So much wonderful talent! Was so sad to hear of Jim Hoods passing. Larry was one great guitarist. He has a band in Watertown now FFOG........They are terrific!

The Crossroads in Turin, N.Y. had some of the best local musicians around. If you
didn't grow up in the 60's, you surely missed a lot! Great times, exceptional tunes!

Rick is down in NC now but working all over. Good guy!

Cal Dee and the Showmen, The Whey(Rochester) The Gruesome Twosome, Albatross, South Shore Road Band, Ray John and the Wanderers, Ronny Dio/ Elf, all the bands from Action Associates. Any band that Steve Galuccio was in(great drummer).
