He stabbed a guy in the back five times IN A PUBLIC PLACE and because the police screwed up he's getting probation and no jail time. It's public record, check it out.

That is pathetic. It is also pathetic that if the police or the ambulance get a call to go somewhere they usually cannot find it. They could not find the one in sterrits run until the caller told the dispatcher that she could see the cops. They better start doing something about the drugs and the crimes instead of just the speeders or crime is just going to get worse.

most of the cops can tell you exactly where the drugs are, but won't do anything about them. They are too busy writing out tickets

The cops in this town are so inept it's pathetic. The guy who went on trial for the assault out at Bobeck's got off easy because the cops lost the knife that he used and it couldn't be produced in court. Someone should be held accountable for this but nobody will be.
That is rediculous. I was thinking they would "mess there pants." That guy should go to jail for attempted murder. He could have easily killed someone.

You do not make sense..........I am not disrespectful nor have I gossiped about this at all. I know the person involved in this case...went to school with the individual....I choose not to speak his name, nor anything else that I may or may not know about him .......that would be gossip and disrespectful.....agreeing with someone who has simply asked everyone to show respect for the family is NOT disrespectful....
Thank You

The victum is going to be fine. He knew the person that shot him. Hmm! Drugs even in the finest of subdivisions. Imagine that. It is terrible that the cops are too busy writing tickets to worry about the drug houses in Monroe County.
Drugs are everywhere. Probably more rampant out in the country. Especially meth. Need that fertilizer and a good cover in order to produce! What I find ironic is, the victim was shot in the head and can still talk about it. Man! SOmeone was watching out for him. Waterloo sounds like it's starting to turn into another Belleville. Nice community out there. But, it's going down the tubes. This is what happens when you start building these little towns up. I remember Waterloo before Wally World was built there. We used to take motorcycle runs out that way. Really pretty country. Lots of fun. I guess that's pretty much changed by now.

Oooops! Missed the part about heroin. Well,I guess that puts a different spin on things now doesn't it? If this is true, and not a rumor, then, there are more serious things going on with this situation than people are grasping.

During a preliminary hearing last week, Judge Dennis Doyle found probable cause to proceed with the attempted murder charge against Matt Angarita. He was arrested Nov. 10 for stabbing Ryan Novack numerous times that evening at Bobeck’s in Waterloo. Angarita is being represented by Attorney James O’Gara.

The Waterloo Police Department continues to investigate last week’s incident at Dave Maurer’s home. Maurer was at his Sterritt's Run home Dec. 3 when he was hit on the side of his head with the end of a pistol by an acquaintance, according to the latest police update. Earlier reports stated a bullet grazed Maurer’s head, but the bullet fired during the confrontation missed Maurer, according to Waterloo Police Chief James Trantham. Waterloo police have interviewed several individuals in the case, including an unnamed suspect. Maurer and his attorney spoke with Trantham on Friday and will pursue battery charges against the suspect.

Hey, thanks for for the update. It's interesting to hear that he (David) wasn't shot, but hit w/the pistol. No one was arrested? Aside from the just the facts, the whole thing is really sad.

Sound like Waterloo will be a little Belleville soon. David on the horse. Stabbings a BoBeck's. A new Schnucks. Trantham out catching speeders. The Three Stooges driving the ambulance. Has Waterloo even heard of GPS? Makes me feel safer in my Washington Park crack house.

I don't know what David on a horse means, but lets clarify somethings.
Stabbing at BoBeck's...an arrest.
Maurer incindent...sounds like an arrest soon.
Trnatham out catching speeders...I've only seen one cop on the bypass since he took over, but have seen Maurer's porsche turned over to Tranthams department, and more patrols in my subdivision in the last six months than in the previous four years. I think the new chief is doing a fine job. All without new uniforms, new paint jobs on cars, or his picture in the paper every week. Washington Prk Homie, don't worry about us, we'll be just fine...new Schnucks and all.
