I have never been treated in such a disrespectful way and left upset and crying!! I would like to file some type of formal complaint against the person who I believe is the owner, Jerry, that spoke to me as if I was a dog. I am a single mother of 3 who went to pick up food for my children and myself. I called around 6pm tonight to place an order to go and waited for several minutes for a young lady to take my order. She informed me that my order would be ready in 75 minutes. I looked at the time and it was 6:12pm. I arrived at Papa Vito’s around 7:15. A young gentleman asked for my name and informed me that my order wouldn’t be ready for another 20 minutes. Which was fine since I was 15 minutes early. I decided to stay and until instead of driving home and the young man took my form of payment. About 15 minutes later Jerry asked the young lady if I had been taken care of. She asked me what my name was and looked for the order and so did Jerry. The man found the ticket and said that I was early and that the order was not placed until 6:25. I stated that I knew for a fact it was 6:12. Jerry then told the lady to refund my money and apologized for the wait. At the time I thought that was really nice and assumed I was still getting the food I had ordered for myself and children. I continued to wait and that’s when things got highly inappropriate. Jerry had an attitude and snapped at the young lady asking if she had refunded my money. She stated yes and then asked why I was still there. He stated that he doesn’t have my order and that he will not be making it since he refunded my money. He also stated again that I was early and that the order was taken at 6:25. He stated that “he is on Papa Vito time not the time I have in my kitchen” and that I should “take the money he refunded and buy my dinner for my family somewhere else”. I could not believe the way this business owner who is supposedly such an upstanding citizen in the community and is involved our local schools have such a negative attitude and treat a person like a dog. Keep in mind we had already waited over 75 minutes for our dinner!!!

I will never understand how they stay in business. You have to order your dinner at lunchtime if you want to eat at a decent hour. They are unaccommodating and rude to boot.

The wait is entirely too long. And we tried to order on super bowl Sunday or some big holiday and they were closed. Huh? Only eaten in there once and will order imo's before I go there again.

Upstanding he's not....can anyone remember back years ago what his ass was in trouble for? If I am remembering correctly something along the line of insurance fraud...reported a car stolen but had it tucked away in a garage somewhere?? Can't remember for sure, can anyone help me with this? I have always thought their wait time has been ridiculous and their hours, hell I never know when their open!! He's an egotistical bastard!!

It's too bad Gerry is the way he is. The food itself is pretty good, but he has an attitude. And yea I believe it was insurance fraud that he's gotten into trouble for. Also, he had issues with arson down in Chester at one point as well. He has avoided jail time, but has had some issues that cast a bad light on the company..

Food is good, but that place and owner sucks! I seen a roach in there twice and ants in the bathroom. I do not understand how he stays in business either. He must pay off the inspectors.

The guy should be bending over backwards to be kind and thankful for his customers. I avoid that place because of all of the above. Sometimes the bashing on Topix IS justified...

He doesn't even really have a restaurant, just a dumpy ex-bar with a shaggy kitchen left over from the 40s or 50s, and the weird ass hours(waterloos good for weird ass restaurant hours), let's see, you MIGHT catch them 11 to 1, but maybe not till 20 after 11, then they really quit at 12:30 if you haven't alread ordered, then 4 til whenever, depending on how many people pissed them off by ordering food already. Here's a hint; even if you know the hours, call ANY place you want to eat before driving there from out of town, because I've arrived at most of them when they were closed in the middle of the afternoon. For me eating at waterloo means fast food, cuz they're the only ones with any consistency

I love their pizza but the wait to get it delivered (sometimes over an hour) is a bit ridiculous. I also love how the cheese and toppings slide off the pizza half the time likely due to the way it was carried by the delivery guy.

His food is excellent and that is why you have to wait. He runs great specials throughout the week and has always been pleasant. His food fresh and is always worth the wait. If you don't like it then go to the pizza hut or papa johns and eat that dog food.

Sometimes people expect a certain level of respect and service when going to a restaurant. If the employees or manager somehow pissed this lady off I think she has a right to bitch about it.

I've eaten places with better, less expensive, and faster food, and would absolutely never eat at a place where the owner himself canceled a customers looooong awaited order over some flap about their screwed up business clock. That practice is usually used to get people out on time. An hour is too long, ANYwhere, ever, to wait for food. I don't know why anybody wants to eat at a place that the health inspector can't get past the front counter without closing their eyes anyway.

That's what is messed up with this world! It's my food and I want it now! Immediate gratification. I'll wait an hour for good pizza. If u want pizza at 6 call at 5, it's a pretty easy concept.

Nice concept chill, but it doesn't seem to work that way at Papa's Vitos. Try reading the string again.

You are part of what's messed up with this world. People who spout opinions without understanding the situation. Sort of like uninformed voters.

I would rather you just stay home.

Let's hear the other side of the story?? I don't get pizza often, but I like their pizza. I know how long they generally take and allow for that. The owner always expresses how grateful he is for my choice to buy there. I would like to hear the owner's side of this situation, but I think that he has enough class to realize that it is between him and "vixen", not the rest of us "inquiring minds". Is the moniker "vixen" a clue to this complaintants personality?

I've never had this problem. But yea I read the thread and everyone seems to bitching about the wait because it's too long! So take a long walk of a short dock. You probably voted for Obama you piece of trash. That's uninformed for ya

I quit eating their food after 3 bouts of diarrhea the next morning. I know, I'm a slow learner.
