Alan-who are you??? Do I know you? The only Alan I remember from Dupo 25 years ago was Alan Case or an Alan in the class of 83-but he didn't graduate from there. You really down Dupo- it is not a bad place at all- i don't know where you lived or who your friends were, but they must have been the wrong choices- my experience was great and I am around your age. Tell me more??? There have always been what we called burnout people, but we never hung around with them....most still are- and their kids are too, but that is everywhere. Please write back
Java--yes there were some decent people I am sure in Dupo--but it seemed the mainstream was meshed more with the dopers than in Columbia Il where I graduated in 1980--you obviously already know who I am--any hints to yourself??

I did not know you directly. I only knew you from yearbooks. I married someone from the class of 81. You are right though- you guys did have a lot of crazies in that particular class. I knew who David Jacobs was- but again, not directly. I lived in town.

I appreciate the fact that you all found each other on here. But, let's have a little respect here. This is about a young girl who died. Not about who you went to the high school prom with.

My apologies- you are right. But do consider one thing- events happen in life- good or bad- for a reason. Events are all hooked together and there could be a reason for connections happening. I am sorry for Danielle, her friends, and family. I didn't know her, but I am sure her life, while stopped too short, was purposeful. I am sure she is in a better place and happy that she meant so much to people.

Isn't everyone's life purposeful?
I am family of Danielle's and yes, her life was very purposeful, actually way more purposeful than the discussion of Dupo....exchange e-mails with one another and catch up on old times..... this isn't about Dupo, dopers, or in crowds Danielle and the fact that a person who drove drunk hit her and left her to die only to go home to his family!

Danielle Craft was one of my best friends.I was hurt when I heard the news. But he should get life. Danielle should of been able to live her full life. She was just becoming a adult. She had a lot going for her. The main people that took care of her or she took care of was her FRIENDS. We had a wonderful ceremony for her. I still miss her a lot. Thanks to her I changed a lot of things in my life. She put me on the right path. All I have to say is I love her and I'll always remember her.
Ashley Danielle's mother's side of the family loved her more than you know. I know that Danielle had alot of friends that loved her & she loved them. But her family including me (mother) was just trying to get her to go in the right direction. I loved her more than imaginable & it's hard to live without her. I took care of Danielle for 18 years of her life & tried to do everything for her while being a single parent. I guess friends like you would not know that unless you have to go thru raising your child by yourself.

If anyone actually ever left that dead end town they would realize that they are all the same. Some towns call them rednecks some just call them white trash, and many more. A drunk is a drunk regardless of who knew them and how good of a person they are. But it all depends on how good of a lawyer you can afford...and thatÂ’s it
