. There's information in the red bud forum under "accident". Sounds like paderborn aftermath turned into a fight in the road. Just a guess. Look and see what you think.

the young man didn't value life.. otherwise would have made wiser choices than fighting in the middle of a road, late at night.(drunk or not.. my guess though is wasted enough to be fighting in the road).. i feel sorry for the driver.. that guy was mindin his own business, on his own path, when two men decided to fight in the road, middle of the night. that kind of thing never leaves you.

Nobody deserves to die people!! Well, unless they meant to take another persons life but, not in this case.... We are all human and make mistakes even if they are big or small.... If you dumb asses think that cuz, Shane was fighting then he deserved to die then I think you all are very sad and also wouldn't majority of the human population deserve a death sentence?!! Shane, We will always love and miss ya!!!

I didn't say he deserved to die. I said he made a stupid choice in the way he choose to live life. I said it was sad, stupid or not. Geez.

He didn't deserve to die but the driver of the car didn't deserve to have a death on his shoulders because of the stupid, immature decisions of others.

What a bunch of morons!! Hey let's fight in the middle of a highly traveled highway at night...I guess Darwin was right; only the strong survive and the dumb die.

Fighting is usually a stupid, reckless act that can kill accidently with as little as a shove, anybody forcing someone to defend themselves puts both at risk, and they're almost always the ones who "deserve" whatever comes from their aggression. We'll eventually hear what started this, til then we're clueless except that it was sure a dumb place to be, which is why I figured it spawned from a chase probably after the bar. Definately a bummer for the guy that hit'em, hope he can accept it wasn't his fault.

I knew Shane. He was a nice guy. He did value his life but unfortunately this accident happened. Unless you knew him you have absolutely no room to talk and I know others who knew him that would say the same. Out of respect for his family keep you negative thoughts and comments to yourself.

You're right, I did not know him.. and out of respect for his family and friends.. I am so sorry for your loss.

The whole thing is so sad, for EVERYONE involved.. Maybe his peers and others that hear about this story, will stop to think about their actions.. How quickly something small can turn so wrong.. People get killed doing something stupid, people get killed doing nothing at all. Any loss is a sad loss... but if something can be prevented.. shouldn't we all realize and learn?
