We are moving there in two-weeks and would like someone whom I don't know there to explain what it's like.
I see that, in reading other posts, there might not be a tattoo shop in Waterloo? Does this mean it's ultra-conservative?
I am in the creative / nightlife industry. I understand CF is a college town. Is the nightlife lucrative? or blah?
Please let me know your thoughts. I am coming from a tourist destination for Southern California and would like to get an idea of what it's like so it's not too surprising in 2 weeks when we get there.
Moving there for personal reason, family, etc...

There are several tattoo shops in town. Maybe 1/2 a dozen or so. This is not a conservative town. There is a lot of night life here too. Main St. in Cedar Falls, College Hill, University Ave. & down town Waterloo are going to be the busier areas to hit. It's big enough to find stuff to do if you know where to look but small enough that you can chill with friends & family too. Hope you enjoy the Cedar Valley.(bundle up for the winter months. They will be a drag.)
