Tax funded public schools are a socialist experiment that has failed. The country would be better off if they were abolished. No one that does not have children should have to pay for education someone else's brats. Parents should be responsible for their own children's education.

Abolish public schools, let everybody pay for whatever education they can afford, and our society would restructure itself according to Natural Law.

We would end up like a third world country with most of the population not even being able to read or write. How is that going to help us to compete with other nations that will have populations of mostly educated people?
The education of our children is beneficial to society as a whole.

Without formalized education for all it certainly would put folks in the haves and have not's.....not good!!

And if someone does not like the school their children are in.....then they can home school them or pay for them to go to a private school.....OR fix the problems and FORCE the Public Education System to be better!!!!

If a person is not a Part of the Solution.....they are part of the PROBLEM!!!

From the looks of things, they've already ended public education in Kentucky.

After all, KY is a 3rd world nation.

LMAO! That's why they want to end public education so everyone will be as ignorant as they're. Then they won't stand out as much.

It is a myth that nations with populations of mostly educated people are more competitive. If that was true we would not have lost manufacturing jobs to China, India, and Mexico. To be competitive a nation must have a socio-political structure, what in the 19th century was called "political economy" that is structured according to Natural Law. In such a political economy about 75 percent of the people are manual laborers. Those people need to know how to read, write, and do simple arithmetic. Educating people who are suited by their intellect and abilities to be laborers beyond that level is a waste of money. Worse, schooling them beyond their level trains them against doing the jobs for which they are suited. About 20 percent need a high school education. They would be the foremen, office clerks, and higher grade laborers. Only about 5 percent need a college education.

The best way to achieve this restructuring is to abolish tax funded public education and let people pay for it themselves. Socialist minded proponents of "free" tax supported education will disagree, but the ability to pay is a reliable gauge of overall ability.

Abolish tax funded public education and welfare and this nation will not be a "Third World country". It will again be the industrial powerhouse it was 100 years ago.

I believe online classes will help. The kids could get more of their education from home with less distractions. Ultimately,it depends on parents, they have to take an active role in their children's education.

I've read that mindless babble before, and for some reason, it mostly always comes from the same states where they'd just as soon marry their sister or a goat as they would take a proper wife. Their opinions carry the same weight as feces on the shoe. Just remember that most of them are posting from the comfort of an outhouse.

Yes, we lost manufacturing jobs to China because ignorant people are willing to work for $1.80 an hour.

We have to stop mortgaging the future of the workers in favor of those who do not want to work for what they have.

If a child is failing in school, take a portion of his/her parents welfare benefits to pay for tutors. I guarantee that Moesha will make sure that little DeShawn get's his arse to class and learnes.

If Moesha has to miss a nail or hair appointment 'cause DeShawn isn't towing the line in school, she be mad.

My father used to say the "starvation is a wonderful motivator".

I thought that he was cruel for saying it...but he was right!

Let's get some welfare recipients out to clean my guttters and mow my lawn...it's the least that they can do while I'm at work.

First you talk about natural law and the variances of individual abilities. Then you say that education should only be for those who can afford to pay for it.
This is a contradiction because geniuses have often come from poor families.

It will be a nation of economic slaves working in coal mines and sweat shops, under unhealthy conditions for 1.50 an hour or less.

We'd be happy to put the 75 percent of our welfare parasite class that are white on the northbound train with them too.
