SPC Joshua Whitfield(Army) was injured while patrolling the streets of Baghdad yesterday. The attack took place as Whitfield was clearing a rooftop. A insurgent threw a hand grenade that blew up near Whitfield. Whitfield suffered some small cuts and bruises and a concussion. He was able too complete his mission and return back to base safely.

Whitfield is Currently Serving with the 2nd "Stryker" Cavalry Regiment in Baghdad.

Josh was later injured yet again after returning from R&R. He is much to humble about what he was done and is eager to get back in the fight, but is in the states now for recovery. He represents a true soldier, and his actions pride the army, and what every soldier should be. It is a honor to know him.
