Shocked. I am shocked. A City of Farmington employee driving drunk??? Whoever heard of such a thing? And not only a city employee, but a barkeep. A taxpayer subsidized barkeep at that.

“I am beside myself over the whole situation. If for a second I thought I was impaired to drive I wouldn’t.”
That's what I said the last time I was drunk and driving, where's my gun?

Zebra's is NOT subsidized by the City of Farmington. They pay 5 cents on every dollar they take in to the airport plus rent of the restaurant space and utilities.

There is a scam in Durango where a person will park across the line making the car in front park across the line and so on.
They wait for a victim and while one watches for them to come out of the bar the other moves the car in front back into the marked space. They pull up to the back of the vehicle making them touch.
They use a new truck with an after market bumper and loosen the bolts so the bumper drops and looks like it was hit. The victim
comes out of the bar having been drinking
and these guys are standing around as
witness. They will try to get the victim to
settle with cash but they will take insurance.
Do not park in a space that is open if it is not between the lines.

ANOTHER Firefighter caught with DWI, and this one is already on probation.

Well lets see if Mayes fires him as he has stated will happen when any Farmington City Employee is arrested for DWI. Oh ya wait Charles Martin is still employed as a Captain with FFD.
I am VERY interested in seeing how this will play out. I hope Vince is watching and sues the heck out of the City when he is the only one held accountable.

What bunk. The rent they're paying is so far below market rates as to be a giveaway. The city rents that space for next to nothing in order to have a warm body in a dying airport.

Before you hang em you give em their day in court.

If he is found guilty he is toast.
If your company doesn't allow for that they are breaking the law.
That should make you happy.

If you want it another way, you might want to move to another country.
In the United States even a disgusting, low live, sleaze ball, like say a firefighter gets his day in court.
Good post/job FOOL!

You don't know what you're talking about. New Mexico is an "at will" state. A company can fire an employee for no reason at all.

Firefighters should at the very least have morals, values, a sense of right and wrong, and the ability to be truthful. Lance Johnson does not meet any of this criterea nor has the capacity to do so. Owning a bar has only added fuel to his fire for preying on women: lying, decietful, manipulative, and the inability to be faithful to anyone or anything reflects on the reputation of such a noble profession. His actions professionally and personally should not be tolerated, men like him are the black cloud hanging over the pride that we should have for our community service providers.

Educate yourself. At will applies to the private sector not federal, state, or city employees.

And this man is still on Farmington Fire Dept payroll - when will Rob Mayes ever learn ? If there ever was a man who could benefit from all his mistakes it is Rob Mayes, however for what ever reason he has no recall memory for lessons learned.
