Wardens' primary role is to ensure that people buy hunting and fishing licenses? In all my years I don't think I ever saw a warden sell a license! Anyone else care to respond?

I never heard of one selling one but I know one who walks through the woods interferring with hunts asking to see peoples license or rowing out to the middle of the lake asking for fishing license and handing out bogus littering tickets. This guy also goes as far as questioning(harassing) girlfriends and wifes in parking lots of local stores.

I dont know about the littering tickets, or harassing women in parking lots, but the other two things you mention are part and parcel of a Game Wardens job.
We were fishing up to Champlain one time and two wardens came across a half mile of water and beached their boat to check our licenses..so what..thats their job.

Soon as anyone puts on a uniform , some people are going to call them a p r i c k .

These types have likely had a problem with authority since birth or it could be their upbringing! I hate to blame the parents for their spawns ignorance though!

He'snot looking for a woman he questions them about the deer their men have got. He is trying to find out of these guys are jacking deer or not. When my man goes hunting I don't put a gps on him or set himup with a tape recorder so I can listen to his every word. He thinks everyone who is out for a late night ride is jacking deer. Heard he gave some guys a hard time for photographing deer at night. Believe it or not he needs to realize people tend to drive through Shaftsbury Hollow after dark for many reasons like can't sleep, had a arguement with their significant other, just for relaxation and thinking or looking at the nighttime scenery and wildlife. It's not always someone trying to illegally hunt deer.

It is illegal to interfere with someons hunt. After sittingin a legal treestand for 4 hours waiting for your deer to come along the Game Warden has no right to ask for anything until you comeout of the woods. Lsst time I looked there was nolaw against sitting in a tree.

Game wardens and other law enforcement officers are not considered interfering while performing their duties! The subject of interfering with someones hunting, fishing or trapping is described here!
