But what I love about the whole situation is that they said, "Your customers, and our cows will reap the benefits." ... Okay, so its not humane to milk cows, but it IS humane to milk a woman? What are they going to do... put a bunch of women in a giant room with breast pumps?!! That isn't humane at all!

Plus, they would have to use women who just had a baby and are lactating. Wouldn't you think that someone who JUST had a baby would have better things to do, like, ohhh I don't know.. take care of their newborn?

The idea is just absurd!! If PETA really wanted a humane way, they should have suggested using soy milk. Some people are just dumb

Well for starters they'll have to change the noise ordinance for that area with the amount of breast,(women) needed. More than likely will be louder than a chicken farm on slaughter day....

I'd also hate to be the workers compensation claim adjuster on this one also. Case in point, after a few years of being drained by a milking machine your not going to be able to tell if its their knee caps or breast. "Daddy, why does mommy have 4 knee caps"?

When are PETA and other animal rights groups going to learn that if you DON'T milk a cow, it will DIE!?

PETA KILLS more animals every year than anyone would believe. In stead of finding homes for these possible pets, the euthanize them. Look it up if you don't believe me. If I am correct, PETA found homes for a grand total of 12 pets in 2007. TWELVE. Kill thousands, find homes for 12.

Tell me what PETA's REAL agenda is, because, clearly, it is NOT animal welfare,

The tragedy here is that people don't see through PETA, and donate LOADS of their cash to them. I would make a large wager that much of it ends up in the cofers of those at the top. Just another pyramid scheme.

We have a fairly new tradition in our house...10 years or so....Everytime PETA pulls some boneheaded stunt that gets national attention...we have some friends over for a nice steak dinner in Peta's honor.

So a belated thank you to all Peta nuts...if not for you crazies the bar for normal would be that much higher.

Boy I thought the world was going nuts lately, but this on is off the charts!..What is PETA thinking?...talk about an instant turn off to delicious ice cream...I did notice in my local supermarket the freezers were full and untouched in the ice cream section ....I know when I walked by I had a little cringe at just the thought of using breast milk in ice cream...could it get any more gross than that?...I guess God didnt know what he was doing when he created a cow!...Maybe it was for milk and meat?..Hello!..Talk about losing it...really PETA...come back to reality and common sense...as if anyone is going to buy this idea!....I think it will take awhile for people to trust ice cream from the local suppliers till this thought passes...Poor cows!...Got Milk?...Sincerely a concerned woman...Marge Cantore

To increase milk production in cows, farmers have been known to add beer to the silage. They also play music or in some cases have tried placing TV's in the barns. Gotta love it... Ophra and a six pack of Molson's for the ladies please.......

PETA lost what little respect I bore them (which, frankly, wasn't much) many years ago, when they insisted that the town of Fishkill, N.Y. change its name to "Fishsave." Because "Fishkill" implies cruelty to fish.

Because they fail to understand that "kill" is the Dutch word for creek or stream, and that part of the country was settled by ... the Dutch.

Everything I've heard since has lowered them in my estimation.

PETA lost what little respect I had for them (not much) when they insisted that Fishkill, N.Y. change its name to "Fishsave," on the grounds that "Fishkill" implied cruelty to fish.

Failing utterly to take into account that in Dutch, "kill" means "creek" or "stream," and that the area was settled by the Dutch.

That one broke my "stupid" meter, and I haven't seen anything since to elevate them in my estimation. Rather the reverse, actually.
