Brookfield leaders endorse controlled deer hunts to halt spread of Lyme disease

Some 15 or 20 trained bow-and-arrow hunters will be participating in trimming the growing herd of white-tail deer in the area as a way to prevent the spread of Lyme disease.

Ridiculous! This has nothing to do with ticks. It's really about some wealthy people who thought nothing of paying for expensive deer-proofing, but then their investments were rudely cut in half, so now their into having government take care of their evergreens for them.
