I understand that 2 departments cover
Washingtonville. Green Twp. and Leetonia for fire and ems. The concern I have is why these two departments can not put their personal differences aside when it come to public service for us. Green Twp. covers the north part of the town while Leetonia covers the south. As many residence know Leetonia is closer and responds faster due to how much closer they are. So why is Green Twp. spreading fliers on both sides of the town "misleading" residence that we should call them on both sides north and south. I'm not saying Leetonia is better or Green Twp. is better but for the good of the people they are to protect why dont they both respond regardless of what side it is on? No other Fire or Ems should be requested in town unless Green Twp. and Leetonia are both called and the need more assistance. Fed up with Green Twp. trying to run this town when another dept. can get to us faster and render care or fire suppression faster. It is not about who gets what but it is about giving the care and protection to the residence of the village who put our trust in our emergency responders. People can fued after the emergency do not invlove the people and our welfare in it. Our village coucil needs to say something about this.
