Being since America imprisons more people than any other country in the world i see the need for another jail.

i guess we need all the concentration camps we can build- everyone should be in jail i suppose. Let freedom ring!

Call them as I see them. A lot of people should be in jail that aren't and a lot that are in jail that shouldn't

U.S. prison population has doubled since 1995. That's really something to be proud of.

In 1995 people weren't beating old ladies up to steal their OxyContin on a regular basis. Between the prescription drug epidemic and the way Americans raise their children now we have no choice but to lock these losers up.

I wish the state just put the prisoners to work. NOT INSIDE the jails but, OUTSIDE doing repair work on sidewalks, cleaning the sides of the roads, fixing the dips in the brick streets (that means pull the brick up and fix the dirt underneath and put the bricks back NOT use asphalt on them) etc. Our state wouldn't have to spend as much money building a new jail if they'd just house them 12 hours at a time. One group works 12hours in the day and sleeps 12 at night. While the 1st group is working, another group is sleeping. Since they're in jail, they don't get a day off. The officers get paid to work and deserve a day off... we pay for the prisoners housing and basic amenities therefore they don't get a day off.

We should also put welfare recipients to work. We have to feed and house them, provide them with medical care, etc.

America is also one of the safest countries in the world. We imprison people who break the law, dont want as many prisons? STOP BREAKING THE LAW.

Let's not forget a man got 65 years in prison for videotaping the police.

Plus, there are many people in prison for marijuana possession.

Many many in prison right now who should not be!
