Due to my having read a Beckley news story,(which is located under "Beckley News" on the right-hand column of the Topix forum), and commenting afterwards, naturally, that resulted in its posting in forums with my comment appearing as #1.
I know that Tyson has a problem with the circumstances surrounding the child that was chosen to portray the lead role of the, as he/she put it, "retarded" boy highlighted in Paul LaPann's Parkersburg News and Sentinel article covering the film, as well as having issue with the fact that full credits for the film locations weren't included in the article, but there's nothing I can do about that.

Who in the hell has been leading you all these years? You are still as dumb as when you started.

Sounds to me like you have a problem...Dear? you can't admit that your story is wrong? What is your angle in that carter kid anyways?
you made it sound at first you were just passing along a story about the film but when it turns out you are wrong you don't want to admit it? You keep on defending this beckley story well I am telling you it is totally WRONG! & so are you....My kid was in that film..that is why we have a copy of the complete movie and as far as that carter kid goes if you had seen the whole film, that kid acts like he is retarded..for that matter the whole film is weird and stupid!

"and that Tyson's emotions prevented him/her from trying to reach resolution"
>> My emotions did not prevent me from reaching any resolution you are the narcissistic idiot that can not admit you are full of it!
As far as your Beckley "new" reporter that idiot is full of crap also....So keep on spreading lies about films or people you know NOTHING ABOUT!

"You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink"

Did you think this saying up all by your self? Or did you hear it from someone from beckley also??

Tyson, you are right...Carter did not have the lead role in the film...he had the TITLE role. The lead role was actually given to a wonderful young actor from Greenbrier County. Carter never pretended that he had the lead role. He just enjoyed being in the film and has no interest in being an actor.
I hate that you had to characterize his acting as "acting retarded." I felt that he did his best and that his best was a really great job. You are obviously someone who was connected to the film if you have a copy of the DVD. I regret that you have to downgrade a child for whatever reason. It also makes me sad that someone connected with the film would write such an insulting post about another person involved in the film.
I don't know what "circumstances surrounding the child that was chosen to portray the lead role" are, but if you are referring to when Paul LaPann stated that I am friends with Morgan Spurlock, let me explain. I am high school friends with Morgan and I have not seen him in about 25 years. He is a very nice guy, but certainly had NO INFLUENCE over the film whatsoever. All he did was post on his FB page that he knew a guy making a movie that needed child actors. I followed the link on his FB page and took Carter for an audition. Carter received the role based on his own qualities, nothing more.
I have read a lot of things on Topix and frankly, it amounts to nothing more than a localized National Inquirer, but I wish that "adults" would not write derogatory things about children on here. It takes a pretty low individual to do that.

It take a pretty arrogant person to NOT admit they were WRONG!
All I started out to do was to give credit were credit was due, like the place & other fact about that film.
If you had seen the complete film you might change your opinion of it....or then maybe not...That is your right..Now if carter was acting like he is off (I know that R word sets you off)
then the kid is a good actor...but I say he was not acting
And just because he is young he can't be criticized??
Then he shouldn't have been in it,if he expected to only hear nice fussy warm things...But it takes a pretty low individual that thinks that they are NEVER WRONG & will attack anyone that disagrees with them

Tyson, Carters Mom is not me. Although I don't believe that anyone can help you, I'd tried to reconcile this with a topic made just for you and your son the other day
