This stuff happens all the time ! First of all wv mineral rights should be with property ! I think this man should get to choose who abuses his land, it's going to be his cabin "getaway"! There will be massive amounts of 18 wheelers and water trucks on his road . Also we all know fracking can lead to all kinds of water issues! Good luck sir and I also went with Antero and had positive results! Screw hard ass eqt

Do not trust the companies coming to WV to destroy the land and pollute our state. Had dealings with some of them and caught them in many lies. They are very sneaky, coming onto others property, never asking permission, doing as they please. Many if not all were from out of state.
A huge well site went in not far from my relative and we never did see a WV truck going on that site. Even the flag cars were from Kentucky. All that BS about jobs for the state was not totally true.
The people working for the EPA were also not from WV. Knew someone that asked about who would be doing the inspections on the pipelines and all other work at the site and they were told inspectors from TX and OK.
I feel the landowner should have all the rights. They are the ones that have worked these farms for years, put their blood, sweat and tears into the land and big money comes along and takes away everything. The amount of chemicals being pumped into these sites is alarming. I personally feel that many illegal things are being done but money talks and WV will suffer greatly. I feel sad for the land owner fighting EQT, wish him the best, hope he wins.

Do not trust any companies in WV. They make and break promises in the same sentence. All land owners make sure u reserve your fossils fuels and there rights.. We went with Antero also and have had nothing but problems. they have a friend of mine blocked from traveling his own property .They were supposed to put him in a road, that has not happened yet. there is going to be hell.... I have a feeling between his family and Antero.. So landowners get lawyers and stand up to all of these oil & gas companies.

I don't know if you realize these companies like Antero have unlimited resources and monies! They keep whole firms on retainer. Don't get me wrong I've had some problems, then I get In truck drive to their field office raise little hell. Next thing you know you got new covert and drainage solutions! Don't back down! As soon as you complain about your lawyer contacting them, they will have theirs contact yours. Good luck

Antero, is trying to cheat people out of there land all up and down rt23, they pay a little here and a lot there .They give to some and take from others. there prices are never the same for pipe lines. one gets 20 dollars a foot the other gets 10. that is not right. They are really ripping these people of because they are farmers that trust people to much. GET LAWYERS.....don't trust any of them gas companies.

I do realize that companies have there lawyers and monies always on hold. But when they start trying to take away a mans only passion witch is to hunt and fish on his own land its time to stand up as a friend and get him some help.

Fracking = Benzene, Acetaldehyde, Formaldehyde, Naphthalene, Methanol, Ammonium Chloride, Arsenic, Lead, Mercury, Radium

WV will become a toxic waste dump and drillers will haul *ss back to TX and OK.

Wake UP West Virginians, Money Talks and WV will suffer. It will no longer be the tranquil clean place to live. It will be a darn Toxic Waste Dump.

Do the research!

Funny thing is I've seen and heard of many ppl turning down good monies, then their neighbors sign with oil and has companies! Oil and gas then drill horizontal and take your gas then in spite make their access roads next to your property! Be careful who you be friend! I have probably 10 friends employed by these companies! I have a friend when land rights come back to someone living in wv or family still on the land he pays top dollar! If they own land and live outside wv he offers bare minimum! So not all are bad an the jobs are incredible/ life changing! If when givin this money to wv residents was spent on jacked up trucks and mobile homes, but put in stock or something long term positive!

I hate what these companies are doing to the planet too - but this guy's situation is akin to the person that buys a house in a subdivision that has chosen to be governed by a HOA... and then bawls about it. He either sold the mineral rights to the property - most likely, since it is apparent that he has made quite a business out of it - or bought property that another entity owned the mineral rights to. He is just attempting to "game" the system, and by choosing to do so in such a way that it ends up in court - when he loses - it will set a dangerous precedent which will prove to be harmful in the future when others with real grievances go to court to address them.

I agree with Fred on this one, if you didnt get the mineral rights then quit complaining, Its nobodies fault but your own. To say im going to build a cabin there is bull , just trying to stop them from doing there job, probably already got a cabin built somewhere else on property just using it for excuse.

You either dont own your land or you're too stupid to realize the consequences of having Anterro drill on you!! It's constant noise & confusion 24/7, heavy trucks running back & forth at all hours , and plenty of dust & mud.
YOU need a hole DRILLED in your head!

Mineral Rights do go with the land dumbaaaa. our does. always has unless some shady lawyer kept it out of the paper work on a land sale, that the minerals rights did not convey.. then said shady lawyer waits until said mineral rights come up for auction on back taxes. ya this happens. so you go right along with a dumbaaaa palin. when all is done here in WV.just a big fire ball waiting to go off. LORD forbid that to happen. but I have done heard enough of these workers talking about if this place ever blew baby she will blow bad.

Neither are completely right. Around 15 % on property sales do mineral rights convey.
