Good people of Camden, Trenton and Newark, do you feel safer living in a state where gun laws are so strict? Do you think these laws make you safer or more at-risk? Your elected representatives are supposed to make you safer, not make you a weak and pitiful target. Tell them what you want them to do for you.ask them what these laws are supposed to accomplish...and if they are working to make you safer. Maybe you would actually BE safer if you were permitted to exercise tour right to protect yourself. Are the police protecting you?

Police not doing their job problem?

Picture this: You're walking in one of those large cities. It's dark out, the street lights are on, not much offt traffic, but lots of folks whizzing by in cars and trucks. There IS a patrol car less than a block away, the officer is awake, alert, and actually has the windows of the car rolled down so he can hear what's going on around him.

As you're walking, a young man holding a knife decides he likes your jacket, and would also like your wallet and watch.

Do you think that police officer is actually close enough to do you any good? If he say you being robbed he might get there in 15 seconds...if he hears the gunshot (because you didn't move fast enough for the DPU) he might get thre in time to arrest him and/or secure your body for the detectives and medical examiner.

That's if he's that close.

Police don't protect the citizen. That's right, unless there's been a change in a year or so, police, "have to inforce the law". That was a decision from the powers to be. Protect & Serve is only a arm patch. You are indirectly protected by a police officers' enforcement of the penal code etc.. "To thy own self be true".

Cops are human too. I am sure they don't want to walk into the middle of a life threatening situation either.

whether they are human or not is not the point you ask a cop what do you do if your in a store and there is an armed robbery and they say we cant advise you gary gillmore told a boy to lie down on the floor in a gas station and he cooperated and gillmore shot him in the back of the head 2 times and killed him a friend of mines cousin was shot to death for $100 in a store robbery and that perpatrator robbed the store before and said do you remmeber me before he killed him the police are never there when you need them .
