your article doesn't come across as exactly politically, neutral. I never heard about "noted british author" simon winchester, and what does something that happened 20 years ago have to do with today? how long have you been saving that, little tid-bit? it is past time for a change in raleigh. wright and black are just the tip of the iceberg. we do need to demagnetize north carolina for illegal immigration. I don't think the public is aware how serious the street gang violence and drug connected crimes have become. we don't need another talking head in raleigh, we need someone that will take care of business. I haven't seen anything but talk from the present lt. governor. if you are looking to buy a used car, what's more important: a nice paint job, or one you can depend on? which candidate would you feel more comfortable walking the back streets in greenville or durham, with in the middle of the night? who would you trust then? ask yourself why one politician has so much more money than the other? what is expected in return for the "donations"? your article should have had the notation at the bottom, "paid political ad for robert pittenger"
