1 Why? Because majority isn't ready for a woman President or a black President. With those the only choices, people will have to to look at mccain or romney. |

1 Obama/Edwards 08! I hope so... |
||||
Incredibly short-sighted. We... as in Americans... will never... NEVER... realize our potential until we get over skin and religion... and politics for that matter. All politics has ever done is divide the divisions. |

2 That is just wrong. You mean to tell me that people will choose a weak white candidate over a strong woman or black candidate? That is just racist and weak!! |

1 My take, if McCain is nominated as the Republican, he will win in the general. If Romney is nominated, either Hillary or Obama will win. I'm going for Romney because I'm a true conservative but won't be upset if McCain wins because he has the best chance at the oval office |

1 If there actually was a "strong woman or black candidate" running, I'd take a serious look at their potential as Commander-in-Chief. Unfortunately, neither the female candidate nor the black candidate are in fact "strong." The female needs her impeached husband to hold her up so he can have another go at the Oval Office interns. The black candidate has vaporous ideas for "change" but no real substance to those ideas. Republicans "tend" to be candidates of action and Democrats "tend" to be candidates of feelings. If either Democrat is elected, nothing will be done (other than our taxes will go thru the roof) and we will have to wait at least 4 years to get moving forward again. |

1 Name calling from a Republican... go figure.... I never saw that coming. We've bullied the world enough. Now it's time to regain the respect of the world before they all chip in and bomb the US into the stone ages. |

2 Since when is pointing out the truth "name calling"? I don't recall calling anyone "names." But if you think I was calling anyone names -- you simple-minded twit --(there now I called someone a name ;-P ) you must be confused. |

2 Mark, I have to admit, McCain's experience and connections has paid off for him. He is an older candidate like Pres. Reagan and I question his stamina and endurance during this time in our history. I have to admit to you, I feel he will be the one the Republicans will pick. He is coming on strong with his endorsements, I think that Bush's play to give the country a tax relief to stimulate the economy will help Senator McCain to concentrate on his strength, which is the war. With the economic adjustments offered by Bush, more attention by white conservatives will refocus on the war, our borders and illegal immigration. Some of McCain's favorite issues! |

1 I'll take it easy because I'm not going to resort to low blows with a fellow vet... even though you just did. I will say this, though... what makes you think I can't see through your quotes and the whole tone of your first comment? Republicans aren't the only smart people around. I read all of those cynical,'holier than thou' undertones that radiated out of your entire statement. Read my name closely and you'll know my feelings towards those mockeries of democracy we call Capitol Hill and the White House. Republican, Democrat, Independent or whatever other hen-pecked party there is... you're all the same to me... divisive, agenda-driven wolves in sheep's clothing. |

1 No Dems, the democratic party has split overall between Ms Clinton and Obama, with Hillary taking a slight lead by most estimates. According to the growth and excitement in the Democratic Party, the group under 25 years old has exploded with participation and it does not seem that way under the Republican Party. The new Democrats are basically white youth. Young blacks has stimulated the growth of the party also. So Americans are ready for a black or female president. The country wants major change in crime, business growth, immigration and the end to a war. The republicans has proven that they do not have the wisdom to handle none of this. White and blacks has left the Republican Party for a change in US policies and priorities! Your statements are fallacies |

1 AVet, Bush was the worse Commander-in-Chief in American history! How can a man come in to office and turn a Trillion Dollar Surplus into an almost 500 Billion Dollar deficit? He is starting the tax relief to divert attention away from him, but still a lot of those funds will be needed to win the war. Admit it, the man is a boob and you threw away your vote for 8 years not doing your research, Brother Man! You are voting Republican because your are stubborn and you can't change with the times. You are afraid of a white woman and a black leading the charge to reform the USA! Just to change a phrase from the movie, "300". "The Fem and Black candidates descend on you!!!" And to change Texas Tech's coach Bobby Knight's thoughts on rape in relation to this topic (Remember the Connie Chung interview!) "Just lie back and enjoy it!" Meaning the change which WILL descend on you will happen AVet! The majority wants Hillary or Obama! Take that to the Bank! LMMFAO! |

1 I will address your allegations one-by-one: 1. "Bush was the worse Commander-in-Chief in American history! " -- Wrong. Jimmy Carter was the worst in history. His incompetent handling of the hostage crisis is what lead us to this point with terrorists. Bill (I-wanna-be-president-for-8-mo re-years-so-I'll-help-Hillary) Clinton was the second worst. If he had done his job after the towers were attacked back in '93 and bombed the heck out of those terrorist supporting countries, they would still be standing... but he was a coward. 2 "How can a man come in to office and turn a Trillion Dollar Surplus into an almost 500 Billion Dollar deficit?" Wrong again, he never had a trillion dollar surplus, maybe half a trillion, but then again, most of that went to the fight against terror and the military... or would you prefer attacks here in the USA instead of fighting terrorists on their own soil? 3. "Admit it, the man is a **** and you threw away your vote for 8 years not doing your research, Brother Man!" Strike 3! I did my research. Al Gore was a complete fool and John Kerry was a liar (moreso that most polititians) I prefer a president of action over one that leads by the Gallop Pollsters. 4 "You are voting Republican because your are stubborn and you can't change with the times." Next batter strike 1! I am more flexible than any 1000 Demorcrats. I will not vote for someone just because he/she is black, hispanic, martian, or any other superfluous reason. I will vote for who ever I believe can lead the country. The next president must be a STRONG leader. Unfortunately, none of the remaining candidates fit that criteria. I have voted in every election since 1980, this may be my first time not to vote. 5. "You are afraid of a white woman and a black leading the charge to reform the USA!" Strike 2. As mentioned above, If the woman was strong or the black was strong, or how about this... the black woman was strong, I would probably vote for them, doesn't matter the party. Unfortunately, neither Hillary nor Barak are strong leaders. 6. "The majority wants Hillary or Obama!" Second batter is out. Neither Hillary nor Barak has garnered over 50% of their Democrat constituants in any of the primaries. How does that equate to "the majority?" Majority implies more than 50% of something. Neither Hillary nor Barak will get any Republican votes. If McCain gets the nod, he will probably strip most of the Independents and all of the Republicans that vote. It will be a landslide for McCain (I personally don't like him, he seems too wishy-washy to be president). Too bad you didn't have three more poorly formed opinions. I could have retired the side, 1-2-3. |
