You know the history of the d.c. streets. Few cops on the beat and more crooks, that is why the mayhem is going on for some time.

An acquaintence working for the Gaithersburg Police Precinct in the Montgomery County jurisdiction said recently that gangs and al-quaida are linked. The local police and the National Guard will have to deal with the gangs such as ms-13 and al-quaida. There was a news briefing at 9 p.m. at the local precinct saying that they need to deploy more personnel to deal with the crimewave. The news briefing came after a elderly lady was stabbed during a robbery and carjacked and the car hit a telephone poll and when steam was coming out of the car, the suspect bolted down some path and into the night. A vague description was given of the suspect but the investigation is continuing at this time.

RIVER RIDGE, La.(AP)-- A 13-year-old student shot himself in a suicide attempt at a private school in a New Orleans suburb Monday morning, officials said.

The shooting happened minutes before the start of classes, said J.T. Curtis, acting headmaster at John Curtis Christian School. The shooting occurred near the gym, minutes before the start of classes, he said.

"One of the young ladies heard a noise. She went back there and saw him sitting there," Curtis said.

The boy, Joseph Lynn, was placed on life support at a hospital after surgery, said Col. John Fortunato, a Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman. The boy's name was released at the request of Lynn's mother, who said she wanted the public to pray for him.

No other students were in danger, said Bob Eutsler, spokesman for John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge.

There are no metal detectors at the school, which has 450 to 500 students and has had no other problems involving guns, Curtis said.

Classes continued, but an assembly was planned later in the day and members of the clergy went to classes to speak with students, Curtis said.

There is a nice clean way to end it all. Just ask Jack Kevorkian for a prescription. Do things the right way. If you want to be fed to the sharks, that is a clean and sanitary way to do things. You can get relief and the sharks can get good service.

I hate to say it but its a different type of mayhem now!

I just keep praying for it to turn around. Those streets are slowly getting more affluent with the renovation that is going on here.

The sick boys are slowly being displaced to PG County!

I'm glad this case has been brought up in the media. My mother used to speak of this case all the time because she grew up in the area and on e of the victims went to our church. my grandmother used to own a funeral home and I also was told she buried one of the victims. I pray the police can solve this case and give the families some closure after all this time.

I remember the case well. I was 15 at the time. But we thought that all the girls had some variant of 'Diane' in their name. It doesn't matter because it was a frightening time. We walked in groups and prayed we didn't become one of his victims.

I seem to recall going to high school one day out in Forestville, and seeing a murder scene that was believed to be part of the Freeway Fantom. All middle names of Denise. I can't find a reference to this particular murder. The young woman was found in the median of Pennsylvania Avenue extended. Does anyone remember?

Don't mean to sound racist but if these females were white the killer would have been found by now. When white people become missing first there's a big reward offered, secondly an abundance of news media, third there is no stone un turned to find out who did it. It's on the news so much to you get sick of hearing about it. Take the Chandra Levy case that went on forever if a black child or person is missing it will be mentioned once maybe twice and that's it. The reward is so low, white media just don't put the same value on the lives of the two races. They are still talking about who killed Jon Benet Ramsey and that's been ten years ago, so the it's just not important they would rather post the bad side of black on black crime than something positive like finding a killer.

Please if I believe this case can still be solved, but I stronglu believe this couldd only happen if able to contact the families of the victims. If your grandmother kept great records of the victims I would like to contact the family of the victims. All evidence in custody has been destroyed but their families still exist, please there is still time to solve these cases this infor will prove to be detrimental to his victims.

Again this is good, I've sent messages to other people on this site that have either known the victims or been friends of theirs. When I say this is good its because memory is the best evidence, as everyone knows all evidence collected has been detroyed or damage memory of theses young ladies are forever knowing them and who they were is even better. Please reach out to me as I'm continously doing trying to contact the families of the victims. Facebook me attribeauty100 or email me [email protected] please its never to late.....

Were there known sex offenders that lived, or worked around where the 1st victim lived, or where she was found? Did the perpetrator have 2 b an adult, or could he have been a teenager? A semi popular 1 at that? What would it take 2 entice a young black girl, off a city street, without making a sound? either a handsome young man, or a old 1, a pilar of the community so 2 speak believe it or not. Oh 1 more thing, what r the odds this (S.o.b), would know some of these girls had the same middle name? Library card perhaps, did any of these girls have 1?
