The "story" about the movie (or rather, the YouTube video of the trailer for the movie) was not "dreamt up," idiot. It was perfectly real, and resulted in riots all over the Muslim world.
Here's what a far RIGHT site said about it at the time:
http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2012/09/12/th...
"But on the same day that the 11th anniversary of the tragedy was being remembered, two notable, anti-American events unfolded in the Middle East — in Egypt, Islamists tore down the American flag at the U.S. embassy and, in Libya, radicals burned down the U.S. consulate and killed a U.S. diplomat. These actions were taken, not as a result of the 9/11 anniversary, but in retribution for an obscure anti-Islam and anti-Prophet Muhammad film."
LOL!
You didn't happen to notice the date of that article, did you? That was the official statement (lie) at the time. That was even before Rice spread BS on five networks.

So you're saying that Beck and the Blaze were "lying," then? Or are they part of that dreaded "MSM" run by the "Marxist Kenyan terrorist" and trying to "cover up" the Benghazi attack?

LOL

You're a freakin' nut. I just showed you that your OWN SIDE admitted that there was a movie and that it caused rioting. Those are FACTS.

What you're spewing is more like diarrhea...

You have a comprehension problem. That was the lie being told to the media at the time. They were reporting what was reported to them.

there you go again with 100% hogwash. firstly: i'm not sure what a "spectulatory dance" is, since that is not a word.(another made up liberalism?) secondly, the republicans have been reacting to a horribly managed event, before, during and after. to suggest this is a "ploy" cooked up by repubs, indicates a serious deficiency in IQ. there is a reason this administration and its followers are uncomfortable with all of the questions. the answers indicate a lack of competency and morals.
If it was hogwash, why would Fox and GOP leadership dwell on it for weeks and days before election day....then the day after, Fox does'nt mention it at all...Hell, they even forgot how to spell Benghazi...."Manufactured Outrage, Politically Motivated"..at it's best.....

So the Rightedia are incompetent and only believe what's told them, is that it? You've got a problem, then.

Whether there was a full-length movie or not is questionable, but there WAS a movie trailer on youTube which incited violence in many parts of the Muslim world including Libya.

Those are the facts; whether you accept or reject them is irrelevant. Pretending the movie trailer didn't exist, or that it didn't cause any effects, is merely head-in-the-sand foolishness.

We later found out that the Obama administration lied to the American people. It wasn't because of a film.

No, you were TOLD that by your far-right media buddies, who pretended there "was no film" in order to blame a terrorist attack in Benghazi on Mr. Obama instead of on terrorists.

As I've already shown, there WAS at least a film trailer, and it DID incite violent rioting in Libya, Egypt, and elsewhere.

It did not cause the attack, of course, which was apparently timed to coincide with and take advantage of the rioting. There was some confusion about thsi which has led many dishonest righties in the media to claim there were 'lies' or 'a cover-up.'

Hope that helped, li'l fella...:)

They reported the administration's position at the time. Please try to follow along, it's not very difficult. Follow ups found a different story, hence the controversy. The first story wasn't true.

Only a fool would still believe a movie caused a coordinated attack with mortars and RPGs. The movie may have caused a demonstration in Egypt, but the Benghazi attack had ample warnings prior to the attack. The British and the Red Cross were attacked and they left. They weren't running guns to Turkey.

As you've already conceded the initial reporting on the far right was a falsehood, there's no point in continuing that line of discussion, is there? No matter how certain Beck seemed about that story.

No one said "a movie caused a coordinated attack with mortars," etc. No one believes that now. We all knwo it was a terrorist attack, except perhaps the far right, who seem to believe Obama did it.

Should there have been more security? Sure. Sec'y Clinton agreed. It was a screwup. What it WASN'T was a "conshpirashy" by the Obama administration.

Clearer now, idiot? Thanks.

The reporting wasn't a falsehood, the official statement was, get it?

If you don't believe the attack was caused by a movie, what are you arguing about? No one believes Obama did it. Obama was out to lunch and missing or sleeping or something. The controversy is over the cover up of a screw up. Trying to sell some video story when they knew better. They knew better because the embassy had requested more security before the attack.

No, the initial report was WRONG. Obama called it an "act of terror" at his news conference the next day. Later it was admitted that it was not part of the anti-film rioting but an actual attack by local al-Qai'da affiliate.

YOUR side has been using the strawman that Obama's administration claimed that "the attack was caused by a movie." In fact that was merely an erroneous assumption. Get it, now? No one was "trying to sell some video story" and no one was "covering up." Unless you can PROVE it.

Yes, the embassey (actually consulate, i believe) had requested security. We know that. Clinton SAID so. Glad you realized that.
