Law enforcement has no rights above or beyond those of any private citizen. The attacks at Waco and Ruby Ridge were obscene in their abuse of power, and no one on those teams, particularly Lon Horiuchi, were ever held accountable.
Abuses of power by the growing number of armed federal agencies just keep getting bigger, and now state and local law enforcement are getting in on the act - witness the response after the Boston Bombing, and the Dorner manhunt as examples.
Cops don't get a pass, just because they wear that uniform. Point is, those who voluntarily put on a badge and a gun should be held to the highest standard, not given additional leeway for questionable conduct. Period.
