As an American taxpayer, citizen, voter
and land owner I do not support military war in Syria. This policy is wrong and invading Syria is not supported by most Americans

I just watched the 1st few minutes of your link. I pretty much agree with what little I watched. Especially the part about most American's don't want us to get involved.

This morning, all over the Sunday morning shows both Democrats and Republicans are saying we need to get involved right now. That just supplying small arms is not enough. They all seemed to think a no fly zone would be a step in the right direction. Here we go again.

Obama messed up when he said the use of chemicals weapons was a line that couldn't be crossed. Now he's backed into a corner and some of the GOP warmongers are in a frenzy. I'm hoping Obama just does nothing, but I think he will get us involved in another Mid-East conflict.

My position is just let them kill each other like they've been doing since the beginning of time. We can't stop wars in the Mid-East and we are not the fracking world's police.

The US just deployed a thousand more troops on the Syrian border in Jordan.

BTW, a no fly zone enforced on a sovereign country is an act of war.

Lindsey Graham on "Meet The Press" this morning.

“It seems to me ‘not being Bush’ is our foreign policy,” Graham said.“The goal should be to basically make sure Assad leaves. Last year, Assad was isolated, he had very few friends, he was hanging by a thread. This year he’s entrenched with Hezbollah, Iran, and Russia, stronger behind him than ever. I think our goal should be, in the short term, to balance the military power, and providing small arms won’t do it. So we need to create a no-fly zone to neutralize Assad’s airpower.”

“Syria has become a powder keg for the region,” Graham said.“Our policies are not working, and AK-47s will not neutralize the advantage Assad has over the rebels.”

I am in no way a Ron Paul fan. I think him and his son are nuts.

But Mike, Ron Paul is one of our few elected officials saying we should not get involved in any way in Syria. He's right about that and the majority of American's agree. That's just a fact.

America is not the worlds police.

Now here's another fact for you. The first recorded war was in the Mid-East and they haven't stopped fighting since. I think our only involvement should be to turn the entire Mid-East to glass. The Muslims hate us and Israel is in no way a friend of America. The Israel's laugh at us when we send them crazy money every year and their Gov has a surplus. Think about that Mike. We have a deficit and send money to a country who has a surplus.

"The first recorded war occurred in c. 2700 B.C. It was between Sumer (in modern Iraq) and Elam (a region that is now part of Iran), and was fought in the area around Basra (just like the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s). Of course, tribes, cities, etc., had been fighting each other for thousands of years before that, but there are no records of these earlier conflicts as writing wasn't invented until a little before 3000 B.C. I agree we shouldn't send troops there but PAUL in my opinion is naïve about the world and thank god he isn't president. As to your history lesson heres one to add in all of recorded history 5000 YEARS THER HAS ONLY BEEN 291 years when there was no war.

A no fly zone is sending troops in. Most of our elected officials from both parties are calling for a no fly zone. One of our jets gets shot down and they will. Then there while be boots on the ground trying to rescue the pilot. That's a no brainer.

Let me say once again. America is not the worlds police.
