The 1880's came after the 1860's. It wasn't at the time. The civil war was a seed planted that grew into the oppressive central power we have today.
Who would have thought when this nation was created the government could force the public to purchase health insurance against their will.
OH GROW UP-now your putting health insurance in the same league as the CIVIL WAR its clear your trying to rationalize your opposing health care by putting it in an area that has nothing to do with it ....

The point was a big ruling central government that imposes its will on the public, not the healthcare. You miss the point quite often.

Now you're getting it. It doesn't have anything to do with healthcare. It has everything to do with big government. That is what the civil war began, big government and big government force.

Now we're waving confederate flags. Do you just make things up as you go along? It's about checks and balances. The supreme court is part of the federal government with its own vested interest in power. It has been legislating from the bench for quite some time.
