I personally think that until this disease is completely gone. All students should be out of school. For the fact that no student or staff or anyone of that nature wants to have a disease cause by one another. Be it there fault or not. I'm upset on the issue that it is in the schools and the best you can say is we are scrubbing it with some hospital-grade disinfectant.
Some of us have families at home and kids and by us being open to this dieseae we open it to others who are closer and near and dear. So something really needs to be done because if it spreads to far someone is going down to the BOARD and will demand answers of why this contagious disease is not a issue big enough for us all to be out of school.

I think you need to spend as much time in school as possible. It's apparent by your comments that you've already missed too much time.

Not sure why people get so upset about this. Americans prefer to spend their money on entertainment and Hollywood than developing new detection devices and treatments. Americans complain anytime they pay more for new drugs that are expensive to develop but have no problem spending over $100 to take the family to see the Ravens for a few hours. Also, these superbugs are the result over physicians over prescribing antibiotics since they prefer not to actual diagnose the patient. Proper diagnosis requires lab tests, which they rarely do, especially high quality tests that can screen for many infectious agents. For those that you don't know, antibiotics are ineffective for viruses, but unless you are properly diagnosed, you may get a prescription for a viral infection.

Evan,

Before posting on a forum such as this, you might want to refresh on your grammar and spelling. In fact, I think you're the last one who needs to be 'out of school' for any reason.

Rob, I agree with your point, but at the end of your post, you seem to insinuate that Staph is a virus. Actually it's a bacteria which would be treatable by antibiotics (although, the current strains being reported are resistant to common treatments).

I guess that part of my point was a bit confusing. I realize Staph is a bacteria. Antibiotics don't actually kill bacteria, but rather prevent them from grow and multiply. Typically target the bacterial cell wall. The point was that if you have a viral infection, you may get antibiotics when you don't need them. Taking antibiotics you don't need contributes to the development of resistance by the bacteria to the antibiotics that at one time worked against them.

before you try to get yourself all in a whirl about your little jokes. i can guarantee that i'm far more intelligent than you.
Try this on someone with less than half a brain. i'm still in high school yes, but you would know what goes on in high school wouldn't you. The issues some of us go through one after another.
I speak from a point of view that i have a family of my own a son and a girl. So me being open to this lets it be open to my family, which i can't and won't have at this point. Now if you were in my position, dealing with these issues, taking care of a family and work all at the same time you would have to reevaluate this. But then again you wouldn't have a good action until you are actually with this everyday. So tell me how you feel about living in baltimore with the highest STD rate. Does it effect you in such a way if you were in my position. inform me since i should stay in school which by the way i am. For another 7 years until i'm out of law school just so you caan keep a civilized mind sir.

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Libra

You're ready to put a lot of energy and drive into the day, but you'll prefer it if you're doing things that have meaning and emotional significance for you. There's a chance that you could get quite heated over anything that strikes you as important now, and others could be taken aback by your vehemence. There might also be a minor dust-up over a financial matter.
