I talked to someone that lives there and they are trying to hold the isis back but need usa help. He said everyone is crying and hiding hoping the cavalry rolls in to help. He said all communication will be cut soon. They are clearing areas out for when the usa roll into baghdad.

Basically ISIS is governing an unrecognized state that is growing. It's precursor groups were able to begin and flourish during the US Iraqi occupation, so reoccupying Iraq won't do jack shit.

To hear DICK Cheney say "never in history has a president been so wrong" from the guy who predicted "we'll be greeted as liberators" and "the insurgency is in its last throes" is not even laughable.

George H.W. Bush knew better and reigned in on General Schwarzkopf's leash. He just wanted to sheild Saudi Arabian petroleum assets and liberate Kuwaiti petroleum reserves, not have an unconditional surrender of Saddam Hussein.

George Dumbya Bush didn't learn from his father and even Bill Clinton, and instead created a massive power vacuum for another tyrant.

Iraq will probably be divided by the Kurds, ISIS, Syria and Iran. Without effective infantry, Iraq is done. They keep losing airbases, because they have tens of thousands of deserters scrambling away from the fight. 90,000 deserters was the most conservative estimate.

Never has a VP been as blood thirsty nor as greedy in his efforts to stuff his pockets from the revenues of the mighty military-industrial complex than Dick Cheney.

truth-facts has no-facts...
The Bush Administration later sought an agreement with the Iraqi government, and in 2008 George W. Bush signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. It included a deadline of 31 December 2011, before which "all the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory". The last U.S. troops left Iraq on 18 December 2011, in accordance with this agreement.

They will not fight because their Shia officer core and generals bought their positions in order to use them to extort money from the population. People like this are not prepared to die so they ran away to their money and left their fellow Shia soldiers at ISIS's mercy.

The fact is that Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz,... repeatedly spewed out false/flawed/misleading information for months leading up to the vote for military action against Iraq. Ultimately it is the actions of the Bush Administration that FAILED. Sadly, so many do not have the dignity to admit that simple fact.
