The unemployment rate has now slipped below 8 percent for the first time in about four years. Who was predident 4 years ago?

The number of jobless Americans fell to 12.1 million, the fewest since January 2009, when Obama took office.

The economy created 114,000 jobs in September, said the department, which also revised upward the number of jobs added in July and August by 86,000. The figures paint a picture of a still-weak recovery from the global economic meltdown of 2007-2008, with stubbornly high unemployment and continued

Conservatives desperately want the economy to remain poor, and have tried their best to keep it that way....as they think it will help them politically

Keep spreading the predicted propaganda from the libtard regime. You retards can "fix" the numbers all you want. When Nobama loses, will that be when the libtard media will report the real numbers? Putz!

Have you actually tracked the number of jobs created during obama's term? Its incredible. Obama is outpacing Reasgan in numbers of PRIVATE sector jobs in his first 4 years.

Now i think we should follow your God Reagan's plan to help the economy, and ADD workers to the government payroll! The fact is Ronny increased the number of Federal workers in order to bring doiwn the unemployment rate and help the economy...and it worked. Its a good idea

Imagine if Obama tried that, conservatives would scream socialism!

If the job creation is so good, why is the unemployment rate at 7.8%? Even at the skewered rate at 7.8%, it's still the rate when Obama took office. You remember, the worst inherited economy since the great depression. A lot of these "created" jobs are McDonalds jobs. The government can't create jobs unless they are government jobs. Only an increase in commerce can generate jobs.

I heard Reagan fired and rehired a lot of federal workers.:-)

There is nothing skewed, its just the fact Ma'am!

You can classify and spin all you want, but the simple fact us that this recession started under Bush and we have added jobs in all but 6 months under obama.

Reagan added government workers, so why are all you reagn lovers so against it now:?

16 trillion debt. We don't have the money. Government doesn't produce anything. It relies on a cut of the commerce. How 'bout promoting commerce and reducing corporate tax rates that are globally competitive?

The recession may have hit under Bush, but the seed was planted under Clinton. You can blame both parties for that. Bush continued Clinton policies.

its funny how debt doesn't matter if a republican is in office, but it suddenly does under a democrat.

Which Clinton policies are you talking about? Bush and the republican congress pushed (and still fight for) the deregulation that caused the whole mess in the first place

"its funny how debt doesn't matter if a republican is in office, but it suddenly does under a democrat."

I remember Bush being called a drunken sailor.

The Glass-Steagall Act was repealed in 1999. Yes, Bush helped too. The GSE relaxed standards. In fairness to Bush, an attempt to investigate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac was attempted. It's a very complicated issue with a lot of blame to go around. You can't pin it on one person or party. To me, it's big government that goes beyond simple regulation and into manipulation.

It doesn't matter if you vote republican or democrat, none of these jokers knows how to pay bills. They all drive around in lomo's while spending our money on anything and everything they can think of, and then they just raise taxes and increase their paychecks, when they need more money.I have never seen so much greed and corruption in my life.Frankly, I'm sick of it!And I'm damn tired of these people looking down their noses like we are to stupid to understand that they are nothing more than gutter trash.Money doesn't buy class.Take Miit as an example, the guy was born into the world with plenty and he never came to understand humility, compassion and truth, isn't it amazing that some things do not have a price. This isn't about wealth envy, because I know many wealthy folks who have class, its just that he is not one of them.
Our leaders have become arrogant, conceited, treacherous, lying bastards and they need to be retrained.Put them all in cages, do not feed them nuts, because they are already crazy, call the chair whisperer and perhaps we can salvage something.
Maybe we can get the members of Congress to earn their paychecks by working 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year, 40 hours a week. They should have to punch a clock. And another thing, we should give them mandatory pee test, for drugs and alcohol. If they fail.call Romney, he likes to ,"Fire," people.

Anyone who believes 30 days out from the election the unemployment #'s have miraculously dropped BELOW 8% for the 1st time in 4yrs, is stupid enough to be a nobama supporter! This was predicted by anyone out there with any sense of how the LIBERAL PROPAGANDA machine works. Where is the corresponding economic growth to have created enough jobs to drop the rate by .3%? THERE AIN'T ANY! Truth is it doesn't matter. He was shown to be the empty suit we've always known him to be at the debate Wednesday. Now everyone KNOWS without someone in a teleprompter telling him what to say, he's a blithering idiot! Romney on the other hand showed he has a firm grasp of the issues and a clear way out of this "man made disaster". Not to mention he OWNED nobama! Huh oh better watch what I say, lest I be labled a RACIST! Which I predict Romney will be tagged with at anytime now. After all he's been a tax cheat, a murderer, a religious freak, and worst of all didn't hug his garbageman or offer him lemonade for doing his f--king job! The levels these clowns will sink to when they KNOW they are about to get their a$$es handed to them is mindboggling! Can't wait for the next smack down on the 16th, not to mention Ryan vs. the gaffe machine on the 11th! Tea Party 2012!
