Mercy - I just bought it. Wish I'd known you'd be doing a reveal on it. Hope it works somewhat; I'll save the packaging just in case.

I bought this item. It's okay. It is better than cleaning with chemicals. But you are right, it doesn't pick up as much as it says it does.
I do recommend the Shark hand held steamer! Very good with cleaning the oven, and esp the oven range.

I have a Shark steam mop and it works just fine. The advertisement states that it is for vinyl and linoleum floors - nowhere do they claim it will clean ceramic tiles or grout lines. When we have a stain on the bath or kitchen floor I can clean the stain, and the whole floor, in just 10 minutes.

I guess when you watch the informatial were half sleep because the demonstrator said that is for any kind of hard/tile floor and that cleans the grout!

I purchased the mob at Kmart for much less. I have been very happy with my steam mob. When it comes to things stuck on the floor, you have to pump the mob a few times to get the steam out, and then it comes up. One thing I do not like is, it does not get in the corners or up close to cabinets very well, other then that I am pleased.

I watched the infomercials and really wanted the mop to work. I bought it at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I got it home and followed the directions even using distilled water. I plugged it in and nothing. I waited three minutes and still nothing. I changed lectrical plugs and waited--still nothing. I tried to call the technical support number and got a busy signal (every three minutes- still busy). I packed the Shark mop and brought it back for a refund. I will think three times before ever believing a infomercial again.
