from virtueonline:

"'This is an understandably difficult time for the members of the staff,' noted Bishop Sauls. Severance packages, marked both by responsibility and compassion, have been provided to departing staff including the offer of professional outplacement services. All staff affected by the transition were notified in person by their supervisors. All staff transitions will be completed by August 29."

Also in the article is the fact that some of the liberals are retiring or softening and that the conservatives have left. TEC is placing hopes in the middle. However, one is reminded of Jesus' words, "I would that you were hot or cold, but because you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth." Look for more decline in TEC.

To Virtue's post about layoffs, it should not have come as a surprise. TEC should have been laying off people in the same proportion as it losing members. The problem is that they are getting rid of the wrong people. Fire Jefferts-Schori and a wave of good will would ripple through TEC with very positive effects are maintaining members and possibly growing the churches. But alas, that is too simple and makes too much sense for TEC to do. Look for more losses in TEC.

They can't fire their "queen," and before her reign is over, TEC will no longer be recognizable as a Christian organization.

Here are the hallmarks of your usual comments,

"Look for more decline..."
"Look for more losses..."

This is your prayer.

You would diminish the Ministry of Christ Jesus because of a personal disagreement and personally-held hypocritical and bigoted viewpoints that The Episcopal Church used to support, but now no longer supports, having clearly changed for the better.

So, you publish your negative and vengeful diatribes, hoping that someone will agree with you.

Fortunately for many, Christ Jesus does not agree with your assertions.

Rev. Ken
