Have you thought about becoming a mentor? I work for HandsOn Greater DC Cares, your local volunteer center, and I'm writing in hopes that you'll come to our free upcoming Mentoring Fair because we need more community role models to step up and be a mentor this year.

YOU’RE INVITED to the HandsOn Greater DC Cares Mentor Fair on Monday, February 27th! The fair will be held at a convenient downtown DC location from 7:00 – 8:30pm.

We are actively recruiting a diverse pool of mentors to serve the needs of at-risk youth across the region. At the fair, you will be able to explore the opportunity to shape the life of a young person by meeting program leaders face-to-face, learning about their programs and expectations.

There is a large mentor gap in the DC Metro Area, with some youth having to wait at least 2 years to be paired with a mentor. By attending the Mentor Fair, you are taking the first step toward counteracting that trend.

Please contact Bradley Troast, btroast@greaterdccares.org or Laura Toscano, ltoscano@greaterdccares.org, if you have any questions.
We hope to see some of your members at the fair!
