Stop Criticizing? Are you nuts? It's clear for all to see that our President is no more adept in appointing security advisors than he is Health Care ecperts, Financial Advisors, or for that matter the Secretary of State. He's a failure.

Obama on 60 minutes "NO MIRANDA RIGHTS for terrorists"

In an interview with 60 Minutes last spring, President Obama discussed the handling of captured terrorists and challenged those who claimed the "American system of justice was not up to the task of dealing with these terrorists."

Obama said: "I fundamentally disagree with that. Now -- do these folks deserve Miranda rights? Do they deserve to be treated like a shoplifter -- down the block? Of course not." President Obama ought to call Attorney General Eric Holder. In a five-page letter to Senator Mitch McConnell, Holder lays out in exhaustive detail exactly why these folks deserve Miranda rights and why his Justice Department will treat them like a shoplifter down the block.

Holder: It was my decision to charge crotch bomber as civilian

WASHINGTON — Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday he made the decision to charge the Christmas Day terror suspect in the civilian system with no objection from all the other relevant departments of the government.

In a letter to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, the attorney general wrote that the FBI told its partners in the intelligence community on Christmas Day and again the next day that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab would be charged criminally.

Learning from Abdul Mutallab

Coming on the heels of the killing spree by Maj. Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood, the latest terrorist "incident," involving Abdul Mutallab on Northwest Flight 253, is yet another isolated but tell-tale sign that we must learn from:

1) If solidly middle-class Westernized Muslims mouth the al-Qaeda line of radical Islamic, anti-American boilerplate, please take them seriously — i.e., worry less about their feelings and more about the lives of innocents they may in the future seek to annihilate. The more upscale and the more the Western exposure, the more there is to worry about.

2) For the last eight years, many have patiently tried to suggest that the answer to "Why do they hate us?" does not entail poverty, Western imperialism or colonialism, support for Israel, past provocations, etc. Rather, radical Islam encourages in an Hasan or Mutallab age-old passions like pride, envy, and a sense of inferiority — all accelerated by instantaneous communications and abetted by continual Western apologetics that on a global level blame Westerners for self-induced misery in many Islamic countries. "They did it" is far easier than looking inward to address tribalism, gender apartheid, statism, autocracy, religious intolerance, and fundamentalism, which in perfect-storm fashion ensure an impoverished — and resentful and angry — radical Islamic community while the rest of the world moves merrily on.

The description that Joel Rosenberg gives us in his book “Inside the Revolution” concerninng the definition(s) between the “lesser Jihad” and the “greater Jihad” really spells out how easy it is for radical Imam’s to recruit and further radicalize their following in such false pretences...

I believe these terms are fundamental, and illustrate why this battle will never end, much less any war.

The Court has undermined the distinction, which the federal courts have always maintained, between civilian and military justice. The Court has determined that an enemy combatant, whether he's a soldier of a sovereign state, or a free-lance terrorist, has the same habeas corpus rights as a domestic criminal. POWs or other detainees during a time of war, now have, essentially, Miranda-style rights.

I think at the end of the day its gonna mean that Terrorists are NOT gonna get a nice "hotel" with kind questioners. They are gonna get pits of hell in places like Pakistan and Egypt. If they have any freakin sense, they should be TERRIBLY disappointed by this ruling.

Another ruling that came down leaves the door open for us to extradite the criminals to Iraq or Afghanistan to be tried and punished, which ultimately leaves the door open to quick trial and hanging. If the President plays this right, the detainees could end up with less procedural protection than before.

So, they've given Constitutional rights to Unlawful Enemy Combatants...

Does this ruling extend to Enemy Combatants who have been given Prisoner of War status? I would think so, since why would an individual participating in a war "lawfully" have fewer rights than an individual who is participating in a war "unlawfully"?

BTW, WHO are the American citizens in GITMO?

It's racist to say Obama was, is, or will ever be expected to be responsible for handling terror issues. He inherited this job, so he's not responsible. The survivors of the next terror attack will know to blame who was, is, and will always be responsible for national security, Bush.

I was making the argument of Obama and the Democrats.'Don't dare try to hold us responsible, we never claimed national security as our thing. If the survivors blame or criticize, it's because they're just racist'. It's similar to their arguments about humping anything living or dead.'We never claimed morality and decency and standards, you hateful fascist fundie bigots'.
This is the Dems big chance to get even with the US for putting the Soviet Union out of business.

I want to make sure I understand you. BEFORE I drop the hammer on you. So you DO NOT agree with nobama and the dems. You're saying this is THEIR arguement for NOT being strong on national defense and terrorist? Gotcha!

What THEY need to understand is the president's NO#1, prime objective is to KEEP US SAFE! That's NOT an option. ANYTHING that happens on HIS watch, IS HIS! HE OWNS IT! I agree with the humping statement as well. Sick bastards. There was more than just us behind the fall of the Soviet Union. You're right the left blames America for that. Just like they blame America for EVERYTHING! Well everything THEY consider bad. Like rights for Americans. Maintaining a strong national defense to protect Americans and their interest. Ousting rogue dicktakers who engage in genocide and torture against their OWN people. Defending weaker countries against these same dicktakers. Wanting to become energy independent. Reducing the national debt, and cutting taxes to spur the economy, and save the plummetting dollar. Identifying and deporting illegals. Building a REAL structure and manning it to keep them OUT! Re-defining welfare, so ONLY those who truly need it have access to it, and everyone eles gets their asses to work! Only partisipating in international agreements that BENEFIT America's interest, not undermine them.
