Police: Fairfax County Woman Sexually Assaulted During Burglary; Children Slept Nearby
NewsCore Updated 11:20 AM, Jul 19, 2011

LORTON, Va.(NewsCore)-- Police are rather flummoxed in this case here in which a woman was sexually assaulted while her children slept nearby as Fairfax County Police said to NewsCore.

The particular incident happened on at 6:00 a.m. July 16th, near Lorton, police said. The suspect broke into the home and woke the woman up when he entered her room. He then sexually assaulted the woman and ran away and neighbors are afraid of living in their own homes due to the rising crime, police said.

There were children in the home at the time of the break-in and attack, but they were not harmed in the incident but are afraid of going to summer camp in fear of some lone adults kidnapping them and taking them to a bathroom to sexually assault them, police said.

"The suspect was described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall. He had a dark complexion and a muscular build. He was wearing a black shirt, black pants and a mask that covered his face and that he was flashing his penis to the women in their homes as neighbors told police. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Solvers by phone at 1-866-411-TIPS/8477," police said.
