County flagman dies from injuries

An Orange County employee, who was struck while working as a flagman for the county Public Works Department, died over the weekend from injures he sustained when he was struck by a motorist on Friday.

That 84 year old man should not be driving. He should have his license taken away or be thrown in jail.

For the safety to all drivers on the road,, I think that once a driver turns 80, their driving privileges should permantly expire. My own mother is only 71, and her driving frightens me beyond words,, she does not drive , she flys.

I AGREE... MANY OLDER PEOPLE SHOULD TAKE SPECIAL DRIVERS TESTS TO SEE IF THERE STILL ABLE TOO DRIVE. LIKE EYE TEST OR TEST THERE MOTOR SKILLS. REMEMBER THAT OLDER PEOPLE FEEL THAT THEIR CARS ARE THEIR ONLY WAY TO GET AROUND AND FOR MANY ITS LIKE GIVING UP THERE INDEPENDENCE.ITS HARD. MY HEART GOES OUT FOR THE FLAGMEN AND HIS FAMILY.....
