Not quite.
Independent thinking would be doing sports which some might consider dangerous or wearing clothing that some might feel inappropriate. The "gray" areas if you will.
Christmas and the like are pretty black and white. They are pagan and should be avoided.
If she has decided to participate in a pagan celebration, she is not a true Witness plain and simple.
Well Fn, If christmass should be avoided as you say. Why did jesus approve it way back when clarlie russel said jesus came down invisibly and gave the wt org the thumb's up. Thats when old charlie boy celebrated christmass, easter ,birthdays and had a cross and masonic symbols on the wt covers. So your going against what jesus approved. Are you an anti christ FN? UUMMM

Independent thinking is also when you question something in the watchtower or other source from the GB. You will get counseled if you keep it up.

why do people care??? what they make and whos volunteering...do you know that they pay taxes...and when u buy and sell your property to you want people to have discussions about how much you will profit?? stop being so interested in thei property and stop being so negativ..if you dont beleive in what they have to say...who cares live your life!! when they invite you to the kingdom hall you should feel priveledged

Remember back in the 80's, when they were bull-horning that the United Nations would confiscate their properties, and then after that, would attack the "Organization" which would then cause Armageddon???
I remember. Still have some of the magz they were throwing around with the false prophecy in them. Absolutely ridiculous.... Turns out the United Nations was/is no more interested in confiscating their properties than they are in making every American a millionaire. I'm sure the Watchtower magicians have and will make a pretty penny from the WILLING SALE of their properties.

Has the Detroit Chamber of Commerce given them an offer on the abandoned Michigan Central Station? It's quite an old building, that they could get a good deal on, and could probably same them a lot of money and save a landmark.
