Does anyone ever win money from the NME Prize Disbursement company in Clearwater, Fla.? The company sends out lots of direct mail about a $2.1 million sweepstakes, but I never see information on anyone winning. via Press of Atlantic City

I feel like NME company harasses you into buying their products once you told them you are not intrested in buy a magazine they contiue asking about purchasing a product and bringing their supervisor on the phone. It reads on the contest NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Yet they contiue to harass you until you do buy which I just hung up.

I am fortunate not to get any calls, but I just recently got a notice that they are trying to reach me, yeah right! I answered questions once already, and was very careful not to give out too much information. Nowadays, too much information can be dangerous! No thanks!

NME Prize Disbursement is a scam, nothing more. They offer products at a higher price than in stores or on newstands. All the while "plugging" a huge cash prize awaiting "down the road"!?

DO NOT CALL they try to see you overpriced magazines. it's all a lie, fraud, a scam.
and they could harvest your identity too. DO NOT divulge any personal information. if they call hang up. it's totally bogus.

I got the letter finally, and then read all the fine print. I found out that the contest is completed in 2010, yeah!!! And then there is an early bird prize that will be awarded in 2008 in December. We will see if they are for real in 12 months, and if they aren't they are going to get a nice little letter from my attorney....ha ha ha, what can you do,,,

I found they will not answer if you call them on your cell phone.....lol or maybe they were just so very busy they just didnt have anyone available to answer... yea - right!

I made the mistake of calling them tonight and I agree that it is a scam. They asked me if I still had a mastercard, visa, discover card or American Express card which got me worried. The only info I gave was my first name. They knew my phone # and address.They were real pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer when I said I really didn't want any more magazines. Do not even call

Has anyone seen the Futurama movie Bender's Big Score? This is exactly like what's in that movie. It's all fake, just to get your money, and by dialing that number you might as well write your will to them.

Glad I read this before calling them; got one of those "too good to be true" letters also but checked the internet first!
I'm not even going to bother; their letter is now in the "square file"!

I just called them and they were pushy and wanted that credit card number badly. I wouldn't give it to them. The magazine prices were in fact not bad. Will I really get the subscriptions at $1.29 a week for 3 major brands?
