Accident on SR 16 Claims Life Of 19 Year Old

The Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident on SR 16 in Virginia Twp.

My cousin was killed in that accident. Micah Jared Philips. I am hurtfully sad and will be for a whil. I will miss him dearly. I just want to say that if out partying with friends and either of the ones that drink, no one should drive doesnt matter. If it is that important that you drive home wait a few hours so that you get a lil nap in because just as easily as that accident took my cousins life, your life can be taken as well. R.I.P. Micah

Micah is a rare human being. If you had the pleasure of meeting Micah, you quickly knew that he is someone special.

Micah's smile, lit the world, the twinkle in Micah's eyes was an afirmation that God exist. I had seen Micah just a week before he left us. I smiled to my daughter as we walked away from Micah that day...I said, "Micah is growing into a great man, Tiffany, and he's just more handsome all the time." Tiffany smiled at me and said, "Yes, yes, mommy he is."

I only wish that at some point I thanked Micah for coming into my life, for being such a pure human being.

Micah, you are a rare person. I will always remember that grand piano smile of your's and that twinkle in your eyes.

I would like to know how the driver is doing? Last I heard he had several surgies but is recovering at home now.

Larry is doing better but has a long road ahead. He remembers the accident very clearly and is having a hard time dealing with the whole thing.

We didn't know Micah, but I am certain he is missed and loved by so many.

This was an unfortunate accident and only time will heal those. May God bless everyone, family included!

we all loved him nayeli it is true he was and still is my favorite cuz rip man
